Sandown Lakeside Race 1 - Hydrobomb

Impressive win from this son of Shamus Award who was slow away and really struggled to muster early when effectively detached at the back of the field. Stackhouse didn't panic and managed to save some ground nearer the fence, bursting through in the straight and really coming after the leader to win well. He'd contested a Group 2 prior to that and looks like he'll relish getting over more ground now. 
 

Randwick Kensington Race 4 - Grand Prairie

It was a day you definitely wanted to be rails in run and up on speed at Randwick Kensington so I thought the effort of Group 3 winner Grand Prairie was good under a big impost, settling back and coming widest to finish second, giving away 7kg to the winner. There was a wall chasing but he was clearly the best of the closers and 1400m next time out on a bigger track can see him return to the winners circle.
