Caulfield Heath Race 1 - Engine Of War

Solid return from this one-time Victoria Derby favourite, going back to the inside in the straight and looming as a genuine hope before fitness just have out late, beaten a length while giving away weight to the winner who was third-up. That should be a good pipe opener for the campaign and he should be able to make his presence felt in some of the B-grade three-year-old races in the Autumn.
 

Caulfield Heath Race 8 - Regeneration

Very sharp return from this three-year-old who had been Group 3 placed in the Blue Sapphire before a spell, kicking off over 1000m against some speedy older sprinters, giving them a headstart and mowing them done with the fastest splits of the meeting. The 0.5 length margin probably undersells the dominance of the win as he was finishing all over them, and 1000m is almost certainly short of his best trip.
