There should be more to come from Raw Energy, who contests the Prix Gerard Liarte on the back of a snug breakthrough success in an extend mile and a half handicap at Mont-de-Marsan last time out.

Despite being forced wide after being held up off a slow pace at Mont-de-Marsan, Raw Energy picked up well in the straight before battling on bravely late on to get up late by a short-head. That confidence-boosting success should have done him the world of good, while the prospect of racing in testing conditions once more also looks to be in his favour.

He remains unexposed after just seven outings to date and with further improvement likely, Patrice Cottier's charge can follow-up on his first start in claiming company.
