French Banker - 15th December 2025
Monday’s French Banker is a Golden Horde filly looking to continue her fine start to her career…

Ladja (Christophe Escuder / Antonio Orani)
Lyon-la-Soie – R7 – Prix Alain Nebon Carle – Criterium de Villeurbanne
- Winner on debut in September in determined fashion
- Narrowly beaten in a Listed contest two starts ago
Having not made her debut until the middle of September, Ladja led from start to finish in an unraced maiden at Salon de Provence and had to show tremendous character to hold off her rivals as she claimed success by a nose. Ladja reappeared quickly just two weeks later and ran with credit in a Class 2 event finishing in fourth, after being handy throughout the race. Stepping up into Pattern company at Marseille in the Listed Prix Delahante, she returned to her front running tactics and was narrowly denied the win being held in second place by three quarters of a length.
Ladja is out of the dam Lutetia, who was an eight-race maiden when in training. Ladja is a half-sister to three other winners including hurdles winner La Clocharde (Almanzor).
The drop in grade is sure to suit the talented Ladja and she should be able to dominate from the front in preferred tactics.
