French banker of the day - 11th December 2025

Thursday’s French Banker is a seven-year-old looking to continue his good run of form.

Ches Demonmirail (Josef Vana / James Reveley )
Cagnes-Sur-Mer – R7 – Prix Katko

  • Doctor Dino gelding who backs up quickly having run well last week
  • Dropped in grade and sure to prove hard to beat
Ches Demonmirail arrives back on track just a week after finishing a good second in a Class 1 event here over shorter than today's trip.

A winner of the Grade 1 Premio 17^ Grande-Steeple-Chase d'Europa at Merano in Italy during the summer, he should take a step forward for his reappearance effort, while this represents a drop in grade into a handicap company over a trip that should be more preferrable.

A four-time scorer from twelve starts going left-handed, his versatility with underfoot conditions is another string to his bow, while the booking of top-class James Reveley also catches the eye as he attempts to defy a fairly lofty rating back in handicap company.

Well-related being a full-brother to 2019 Prix Girofla (Listed) winner Invincible Dina, there's no doubt that this is a tough ask to win off his rating, but he remains unexposed in these quarters and brings classy form to the table.
