French banker of the day - 13th December 2025
Saturday’s French Banker is a two-time Group 1 winner looking to gain a first win on French soil.
Quid Pro Quo (Jerome Reynier / Antonio Orani)
Deauville – R5 – Prix Miss Satamixa
- Star filly when trained in South Africa
- Hasn't been seen since February but should appreciate this assignment on stable debut.
Quid Pro Quo will look to gain her seventh career success on her tenth start when she tackles the Prix Miss Satamixa this afternoon at Deauville.
Having placed early in her career, Quid Pro Quo very quickly got the hang of things and rattled up two successive victories in minor company before making the step up to group company in her native South Africa. Group 1 success was achieved for the first time in June by landing the Allan Robertson Championship over at Scottsville, followed by another victory at the highest level in July in the Douglas Whyte Stakes at Greyville with a brace of Group 2 wins sandwiched either side.
She ran with huge credit on her return to action in February at Turffontein when only held by half a length in the Group 2 Gauteng Fillies Guineas and it's interesting to see how she will fair having switched to the stable of Jerome Reynier subsequently.
Whilst Quid Pro Quo is likely to improve for the outing, she has undoubted class and the best form in this race. She should be capable of making a winning start in Europe.
