Sandown Hillside Race 7 - Roulette King

Another impressive win from this lightly raced three-year-old who got into a tough spot after half-missing the start and getting shuffled back to the tail of the field. He circled the field off a slow tempo and showed an impressive turn of foot to win running away in an unfavourable pace scenario. There should be more to come given how he's managed to win here, and Saturday class doesn't seem beyond him at all.


Warwick Farm Race 2 - The Next Episode

Clearly the two-year-old race to follow, with the boys running significantly faster overall time than the fillies race one earlier. The've run approximately five lengths quicker overall and still come home in a quicker final 600m, with this well bred colt (Snitzel x Humma Humma) sent around single figures on debut in a Group 3 Golden Gift. It'll be interesting to see how high they aim up off this, but perhaps a race like the Kindergarten Stakes on April 4th could be a good option.
