Australian thoroughbred meeting are today held at Gosford, Seymour, Rockhampton,
Queanbeyan and Bunbury.
GOSFORD: RACE 1 @ 1:50 PM
I AM GONE (6) Extreme Choice filly resuming. Showed a ton of early speed on debut from the wide gate when ($1.70 fav), before knocking up to run fifth over 1000m at Kembla Grange last July. Looks ready to go after the one trial placing over 850m. Tommy Berry rides after the trial, and she gets her chance to get off the mark. DIETRICH (3) finished in the minor money at all three starts and resumes with Fitzgerald's 1.5kg claim. Back without a trial and sure to be thereabouts. KISS GOODNIGHT (7) resumes for her second campaign after having mixed luck last time in. Returns with the one trial placing over 796m and ticks a few boxes from the low draw on the firmer surface. STO PATOMA (5) Shalaa filly from Tobacco Bay on debut for the Ryan & Alexiou yard. Given the three trials and the lugging bit goes on. Keep safe from the draw.
SELECTIONS: I Am Gone can return in winning style.

SEYMOUR: RACE 4 @ 1:00 PM
HAVANA MOON (4) was well fancied on debut at Donald over this trip and ran a solid race without threatening, fading late to finish third. She should come on from that experience and this looks a nice race for her to land on speed and give a bold sight. GOLD THUNDER (3) resumes. She struggled in two runs in her first campaign but has won a jumpout at Pakenham leading in and is another to draw ideally. Suspect she'll do much better here. SMASH BLUE (6) resumes. She showed ability last time in and kept improving each time out. She'll likely give some dangers a start but can be running on late. BLUE AKOYA (7) is resuming from a break. Ran fifth in latest jump-out at Mornington. Opened last campaign with a third at this track over 1000m. In the mix.
SELECTIONS: Havana Moon on top.
ROCKHAMPTON: RACE 2 @ 1:57 PM
SKILFUL ARTIST (2) raced on the speed from the outset last start and fought hard right to the line, just missing the bob. Peaking now and can get the job done. YOROKOBI (5) hasn't been far away lately including a last-start second over 1300m at Mackay. Extra trip a plus. Can give this a big shake. READY LIGHTLY (1) is close to breaking through, last start finishing just half a length away at Thangool. Tackles the mile for the first time but will take advantage from the low draw and could take some catching if left alone in front. ATLANTIC LACE (6) is mixing her form but has peaks that measure up. Backs up quickly and is worth including in exotics.
SELECTIONS: Siding with Skilful Artist to win.
QUEANBEYAN: RACE 3 @ 3:25 PM
FLASHY ICON (2) peaks off a 1.6L defeat at Canberra, stepping up to this distance. Drops back to an easier grade, and the 3kg claim offsets most of the weight rise. Draws inside and is the one to beat. EVER WAS (4) brings narrow defeats from Muswellbrook and Mudgee, and he should enjoy a soft run from the inside barrier. Should get every chance to go one better. PRETTY PLEASE (3) has been racing in better company since her win this track/trip. This is a suitable assignment, and she should be fighting out the finish. SEBASTIAN'S FLYER (6) placed this track/trip two starts back and came back to a mile at the Sapphire Coast at his latest. Maps well, and an in-form hoop is reunited.
SELECTIONS: With Flashy Icon.
BUNBURY: RACE 6 @ 7:43 PM
GOD'S GRIN (5) spiked her figures winning a CL1 here over 1400m and steps up to 1675m seeking a hat-trick. Has a key jockey switch to Chris Parnham, and she looks capable of going on. ATLANTIS BEACH (1) has been racing in stronger metro company, and there was only a lip in it over a mile at Belmont last time. That's good form, and he's been kept on the fresh side. Maps well and is a live chance. AWESOME FORCE (4) resumed at Belmont much improved, and then was backed off the map winning his Maiden this track/trip. He impressed in both, and fitter again can't be ruled out. OMERTA GRACE (3) is proving hard to catch but got closer at Pinjarra last time after a slow start. Finally draws a low barrier, and winning rider Pike is a key jockey switch replacing the apprentice. Has to be kept onside.
SELECTIONS: Leaning to God's Grin.
