Today’s Horse Racing Tips - 4th May 2025
Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for May 04.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Dubbo, Sapphire Coast, Sale, Rockhampton and Geraldton.
DUBBO: RACE 4 @ 2:30 PM
PROPER TWELVE (7) has changed hands since running a close second at Geelong six weeks ago and drawn ideally. Sure to take plenty of beating. CODONAS (2) had two starts in Victoria and wasn't disgraced in either. No public trials so keep an eye on betting. LORD VETTORI (4) will find this a bit easier than last couple at provincial level so can improve. JULIET BRAVO (12) and WENDOUREE (9) are each-way chances.
SELECTIONS: Proper Twelve to win.

SAPPHIRE COAST: RACE 5 @ 3:20 PM
CHRISTMAS STAR (4) created a big impression at her second run back when shedding her maiden status with a dominant win over 1180m at Gundagai. Will appreciate the extra trip and prove hard to stop again. APPARATE (9) got off the mark at start seven when saluting over 1209m at this track two starts back. Even run when a plugging fourth over 1300m at Canberra. Well drawn again and will find this more to her liking. SPIELE (12) massive weight drop today after coming back in class and trip when second over 1425m at Moruya. Gets the right set up and will be strong late. SASSY MISSILE (10) raced without luck at her three runs back and capable of improving in this weaker contest. Has won at this track and goes into the exotics.
SELECTIONS: Christmas Star to keep the winning momentum going.
SALE: RACE 4 @ 2:45 PM
SCORPION (8) has been good in two runs to date, boxing on well at Caulfield Heath over 1600m last time out. Has drawn very wide but may look to roll forward and will stay strongly. ONE BROTHER (7) was close up on debut at Caulfield Heath, working home well with the tempo against. May get back from the wide draw again but has claims. CLYDEBANK ROBBER (4) is a 39 start maiden back in trip but can certainly add value to the exotics. ART 'N' SOUL (1) was better last time and is in the mix.
SELECTIONS: Scorpion to win.
ROCKHAMPTON: RACE 4 @ 1:40 PM
DECIDUOUS (5) is racing in a rich vein of form winning three of his past four starts with Satherley being in the saddle for two of those victories. Is four from six over this mile journey and looks the one they all have to run down. FINE SHOT (3) loves racing here on his home circuit with five wins and five placings from just 11 outings. Sure to be thereabouts again. SKYFORGER (1) strips fitter third-up from the spell and will find this easier than the last-start effort in town. Has to be included. TOJAKI (2) rounds out the selections in a competitive affair.
SELECTIONS: Deciduous to continue the purple patch.
GERALDTON: RACE 2 @ 3:50 PM
The speedy IL BELLO BEALS (1) is a fourteen-start maiden but is going better than most of these. Back in trip on recent efforts when he has led for home but been claimed late. Placed two from three over six furlongs and this looks his big chance to finally break through. TRULY SUPREME (10) filled a placing for the first time when a closing third over 1400m here last time out. Back in trip but the winkers go on for the first time. Should be thereabouts again. RUPERTS QUEEN (12) led but tired when resuming over 1100m at Kalgoorlie recently. Fitter and should be in the contest for a long way. LOONA DAWN (9) has a wide gate to contend with but her last-start second over 1120m here was an encouraging effort. ROLL'EMUP (4) next pick in a race with a long tail.
SELECTIONS: Keen to be with Il Bello Beals.
