Australian thoroughbred meeting are today held at Scone, Kembla Grange, Kyneton, Dalby and Pinjarra.

SCONE: RACE 3 @ 3:25 PM

SPENZALOT (3) gets the senior hoop Bullock aboard after a troublesome run last start when heavily supported. His prior form stacks up strongly and he looks capable of bouncing back in a big way. Suspect Bullock will settle closer to the action and have their measure when they sprint. GOLD CAPITAL (5) is ticking along nicely, narrowly missing last time at Tamworth. Draws well for the in-form Nock, though the sharp drop in trip after 16 days is a slight query. Still, he should be very competitive. WICKED GAMES (4) was a determined winner fresh and backed it up with a strong chasing fourth last time. The form around him is holding up and he should be hitting his straps third-up. ROCKBARTON ICON (1) lengthened impressively to score stylishly at Port Macquarie. Freshened with 61 days and gets weight relief with the 3kg claimer engaged. Don't dismiss.
SELECTIONS: Spenzalot to win.

KEMBLA GRANGE: RACE 2 @ 4:20 PM

CHANNELLING (4) is deep into her prep and has a distinct fitness edge over these. Back in grade after coming out of a strong rating contest when a tough on-pace fifth to The Mona Lisa over 1500m at Rosehill. Will roll forward in a race devoid of speed and prove too good for these. PRO VELOCITY (5) solid Maiden victory two-back, before she copped a bump on jumping when a disappointing fifth over 1600m at Gosford. Can tag the speed with senior rider engaged. Shapes as the main danger. BUSH GIRL (6) scored a well-deserved Maiden win first-up, before racing a little flat when a plugging fifth over 1500m at this track after being in contention on the turn. Place claims look best today. PLAYFUL PUZZLE (7) came from near last on the turn when she resumed with a slashing second over 1400m at Gundagai. Kept up to the mark with a soft 800m trial at this course. Gets map favours and don't underestimate.
SELECTIONS: Channelling can assert her class.

KYNETON: RACE 7 @ 4:00 PM

SAVAMOON (7) ran a solid race first up at Kilmore when beaten just over a length into third in a BM66, doing enough there to suggest he'd come back well. His form last time in progressed nicely and he'll strip fitter for this. YAM (1) is racing okay without winning. The past couple have been good, and this is slightly easier than last time through the same race as Savamoon. FROZEN TIDE (6) was okay at this level last time out at Donald when getting back in a race that turned into a dash home. The win prior in easier company was solid and he might settle closer from the inside gate. LUVYA MUMMA (9) resumes. She got over far more ground in some handy races last time in but this trip should be okay first up and she has the class to figure.
SELECTIONS: Savamoon to win.

DALBY: RACE 3 @ 4:27 PM

VERSION (9) was only a long neck from the winner in second last time out in a small field over 1050m at Inverell at the first run of the campaign in the wet. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset and her best figures should see her run well. PRUCIA (4) turned in a good performance last time over 800m at Ipswich, finishing 1.75 lengths from the winner in third after she was handy all the way. The extra journey should play into her hands and is right in the mix. SOLAR SURFER (11) finished sixth after being prominent at the bend at his last appearance over 1200m at Sunshine Coast on November 9. Solid top-three chance on best figures. PIPPIE POMAR (10) finished 8 lengths from the winner in eighth at her most recent appearance over 1000m at Gold Coast after she gave away a big start. Is better than that run suggests and appeals as a top-four contender.
SELECTIONS: Version to shed the maiden tag.

PINJARRA: RACE 5 @ 7:13 PM

HURRICANE HARLEY (2) resumed with a long head defeat at Bunbury and then delivered an easy Maiden win this track/trip as a $3.2F. Has an inside barrier and fitter again the promising galloper can take the next step. CANTRIX (3) resumes and is good enough if presented on song. Led and just missed on the Scarpside three back on debut and returns with a solid Belmont trial placing under the saddle. CALATHINITE (5) is another last start Maiden winner delivered at Albany when he led all the way. Should present at peak and will take catching. GANGGAJANG (4) didn't get into it at Belmont but led and won her Maiden by 5.6L prior at Narrogin on debut. Much better suited and she's a chance to bounce.
SELECTIONS: With Hurricane Harley.
