Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for May 13.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Taree, Wellington, Moe and Rockhampton.
TAREE: RACE 1 @ 12:50 PM
CRAZY MIKKI (8) was runner-up in the first four races of this prep, two of them on heavy decks, then went to town last start but was out of her depth in a 1100m maiden at Canterbury. Back in a modest country maiden today and gets her chance to finally break the ice. QUI ROUGE (6) was given time to settle but didn't run on as hoped on debut last time out over 900m at Newcastle. Steps back a level here and the extra 100m helps. Watch for a much better run. KERMITISAPET (9) began poorly before making some late inroads through heavy going at Port Macquarie recently. That was her first run for seven months so she should tighten right up for today's assignment. First starter ADELINA FALLS (3) placed in a recent Wyong trial. Any betting confidence should be taken on board. Hard to see any of the other runners winning - quite a few are on debut so keep an eye on the market moves.

WELLINGTON: RACE 5 @ 3:35 PM
PRESSNELL (3) finally lived up to his trial form when winning his maiden fresh up at Dubbo very easily. He has needed time to mature, and is now expected to go right on with the job. MICRO MIKKI (2) franked an easy trial win with a nose victory fresh up at Narromine 2 weeks ago. He would have taken a lot from that run, and has the scope to be right in the finish again. BYRON'S FARM (4) won fresh up here before finding the quick backup against him at Dubbo just over 5 weeks ago. He will be spot-on now and can bounce straight back into the money here. CRUSADER KINGS (1) won on debut at Mornington. He had another Victorian start before having a spell, and will be resuming for a new stable this time. Use the market as your best guide. JOY OF THE WORLD (6) capped off some good form with a well-deserved maiden win at Bathurst 18 days ago. Include in all bets.
SELECTIONS: Pressnell to win.
MOE: RACE 2 @ 1:00 PM
SUN SETTING (11) looks the one to beat on resumption. She just found one better in both starts in her maiden campaign, behind some smart types on each occasion at Mornington. Finds the right race now with added improvement to come. HABENARIA (9) is a filly by top sire I Am Invincible on debut for the Freedman yard. Have to respect her coming here with early market support. YEAH RIGHT (12) wasn't bad on debut in a stronger maiden at Pakenham and has plenty of scope to improve. MAFEE (6) next best.
SELECTIONS: Sun Setting to win.
ROCKHAMPTON: RACE 1 @ 1:12 PM
POWER OF KATIE (1) loves it here at this circuit with three wins and three seconds from just six outings and is racing with a lot of confidence this campaign. It's hard to knock fillies in form and she rates the testing material against this line-up. KAI MONDO (4) shed the maiden tag in impressive fashion last time out and will have taken a stack of confidence from that victory. Looks a serious threat based on that latest effort. ELECTRIC BRAE (5) resumes here but has won when fresh before and gets in light with the claim. In the mix. SPITZBERG (2) has won two of his past three and looks one for the exotics players. INVISIBLE TARGET (3) rounds out the selections.
SELECTIONS: Power Of Katie to continue the rich vein of form.
