Today’s Horse Racing Tips – 3rd October 2022
Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for October 3.
Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Warwick Farm, Muswellbrook, Pakenham, Beaudesert and Gawler.
WARWICK FARM: RACE 6 @ 4:30 PM
DEMOCRACY MANIFEST (2) has always been highly thought of and returned here from a spell with a near last to first neck win over 1200m on September 14. That race rated highly and he's undefeated this track. Should handle the class rise with ease. CAPO STRADA (5) is racing well this time in and hard fit now third-up. Raced on the speed from the wide gate and the early effort took its toll when second over 1250m at Canterbury on September 21. Will get a much softer run here and attack the line late. Go close. REDWOOD SHADOW (13) has been racing well but struggling to break through. Not asked to do much in a recent trial and placed this track and trip. The race goes much deeper than these four.
SELECTIONS: Win bet Democracy Manifest.

MUSWELLBROOK: RACE 1 @ 1:39 PM
BROGANS CREEK (3) is unlucky to still be a maiden with two consecutive placings to start the career and strikes a very winnable contest here. Has the gate speed to take a forward position and rates the testing material against this lot. Local HOKU (4) resumes but looked good last campaign with two runner-up finishes. Tuned up for this with a solid trial here and looms as the main danger. LION CLASS (12) finished just behind the placegetters in both career starts before being tipped out for time to mature. Gets in well at the weights with the 3kg claim and has to be included while fresh.
SELECTIONS: Brogans Creek to win.
GAWLER: RACE 2 @ 1:20 PM
TAN TAT BEAU (4) just missed fresh up for his new connections and he will be all the more sharper for this assignment second up. Barend Vorster sticks with him and so are we. On top. SOLAR BLAST (8) was a solid third fresh up in city class and he should notice the drop in quality here. Hard to beat. GREY RIVER (11) went for a spell after contesting a Group Three race last time out. He looked ready to rumble when winning a recent trial and from his good draw should be right in the finish. DON'T DOUBT DIVA (6) is an ex-Kiwi who looked forward when placing at a recent trial. She has been given plenty of time to mature and should give a good account of herself on debut. Follow any positive market moves.
SELECTIONS: Tan Tat Beau win bet.
PAKENHAM SYNTHETIC: RACE 9 @ 4:40 PM
Forgive the latest effort by READ (5) who looks well placed here. Was a maiden winner two back then tackled tougher latest but dipped and struggled in the going when seventh at Sandown-Lakeside over 1500m, beaten 3.5 lengths. Will find this far more suitable and can atone. DRAFT DAY (2) is racing well, scoring by 0.8 lengths two back at this track then finishing a close-up fourth last time over 1400m at this track. Honest and expected to run well. HORACE (3) is a former Kiwi having his first run in this area. Scored at his last run over 2000m at Cambridge four-and-a-half months ago and gelded since. Recent jumpout winner so watch the market closely. BURTON STREET (4) looks an each way chance on solid fresh-up record.
SELECTIONS: Back up on Read.
BEAUDESERT: RACE 8 @ 5:10 PM
PRETTY DEVINE (7) is a pretty handy performer who hasn't missed a cheque in all three runs this preparation, including a strong all the way win at Murwillumbah two starts back. This race looks a touch easier than her last outing and she will be very hard to beat. AIRSTRIKE (1) didn't cope with the rise in class when finishing well back at Doomben last time out. He thrives on a wet track and is much better placed here. Drawn perfectly and can make his presence felt.
SELECTIONS: Pretty Devine win bet.
