Today’s Horse Racing Tips – 16th September 2022
Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for September 16.
Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Newcastle, Ballarat, Canberra and Kilcoy.
NEWCASTLE: RACE 4 @ 2:50 PM
EBHAAR (5) raced wide and without cover last start and still held on to win narrowly at Warwick Farm last time out. Not much tougher on paper today and she drops 1kg from that effort. She's a former Listed winner and may just be too good for this field. WASHINGTON TOWERS (2) bolted in during a recent trial at Goulburn after an impressive preparation last time in, including a big win over this track and trip. The 1.5kg claim gets him in nicely and he has a solid fresh record. Won't be far away. TORO TORO (4) bolted in over this course and distance first-up. Wouldn't surprise to see him repeat the dose. CLASSY JAYBEE (1) returns to AUS and has a great fresh record. Keep safe.
SELECTIONS: Ebhaar looks the one to beat.

KILCOY: RACE 6 @ 2:57 PM
WORLD CHARMER (9) does boast a win over this journey and will get a cosy run in transit from gate two. Looks the one to beat in a race decimated by scratchings. INTO CHAMPAGNE (7) strips fitter second-up and can earn some minor money. GRANDEUR ROSE (11) has been racing in career-best form this campaign and looks one for the multiples.
SELECTIONS: World Charmer to win.
CANBERRA: RACE 7 @ 4:25 PM
ALLGEMEINE (10) has a terrific record here and only missed a lip resuming on the slow heavily-bet. She has more up the sleeve and the speedy galloper gets 4kg weight relief in 70 grade. Gets Owen and rates to take beating. EXOTIC DEEL (7) just missed here a month ago at this level behind the promising Kelvedon Road. She can use the rail and Penza sticking is a positive. Fitter and a player. SUPER HELPFUL (5) resumes and has shown enough to say he will be very competitive and expect him to be wound right up for the stable's big race-day. Brings a trial win and two back belted the 66 at Orange by 4.3L on a heavy track. ANNUAL (11) will be fitter again and led and won the 60 here two-back on the heavy in fine fashion. Can't be ruled out.
SELECTIONS: Allgemeine can step up.
