Today's Horse Racing Tips – 11th April 2020

It's Day Two of The Championships at Randwick with all eyes on four big Group Ones along with feature meetings at Caulfield, Doomben, Ascot and Morphettville Parks. 

RANDWICK: RACE 7 @ 3:15PM (AEST)

The William Haggas trained Young Rascal has won six of 11 starts and did a good job to win in his Australian debut, when too strong late in the N.E. Manion Cup [2400m]. By all reports he had a fair bit of improvement to come and while yet to be seen beyond 2400m, it is hardly going to be a true staying test, though even still, it appears unlikely to bring him undone. CAULFIELD: RACE 7 @ 4:15PM (AEST)

It is Easter Cup day at Caulfield this weekend and it shapes as a good betting card still on a softer track. The Cup itself has plenty of chances and there might be some value in the mare Scarlet Dream who is now second up. She was excellent first up over the mile and has to come on from that in the new stable. Read More 

 

DOOMBEN: RACE 8 @ 4:07PM (AEST)

Some value is on offer with a couple of each way betting propositions at Doomben on Saturday. The best of them could be Invincible Al after a luckless outing last time when he raced wide and was held up but still ran on to place. Read More 

 

ASCOT: RACE 10 @ 5:00PM (AEST)

It is WATC Derby day and there is a shortie in the race with the filly Tuscan Queen for the pink and white army. Her stable mate Midnight Blue looks certain to run a race given his breeding of So You Think out of a Zabeel mare so any chinks in the fav's armour could be created by him. While it is a tried and tested formula so we may not get the better of the prices, we'll suggest Celebrity Queen is the best bet on the day at Ascot. Read More 

 

MORPHETTVILLE PARKS: RACE 6 @ 3:16PM (AEST)

This is the old Oakbank meeting held at Morphettville for this year because of all the dramas and the Listed Railway Stakes looks to have few chances. Under those circumstances, there seems great odds about Bold Star given his previous form lines. Read More
