Newcastle Racecourse invites media to an unmissable media call at Nobby's Beach,
celebrating the countdown to the region's most prestigious racing and social event,
The Newcastle Herald Hunter Race Day.

This year's media call will unite some of Newcastle's most recognisable faces for an
unmissable photo and interview opportunity, capturing the energy, colour, and
community pride that make The Hunter Race Day a true highlight on the city's social
and sporting calendar.

Set to be one of the most visually striking mornings, the event will bring the spirit and
glamour of regional NSW's premier race day to life at Nobby's Beach, featuring
jockeys on horseback along the shoreline, Surf Life Savers from Nobby's Beach,
Jason Hoffman from the Jets the newly announced 2026 Face of The Hunter and
Ambassadors, and Newcastle Racecourse CEO Duane Dowell.

Returning Saturday 15 November, The Hunter Race Day is Newcastle's most
anticipated event of the year. A day that fuses world-class racing, high fashion, and
live entertainment with community spirit and local pride. The 2025 event will feature
Jon Stevens live on stage, a free champagne and live music upon arrival, and the
region's biggest social gathering at Newcastle Racecourse.

The Hunter Race Day has become a cornerstone of the city's calendar, drawing

This year's media call will also feature the official unveiling of Newcastle
Racecourse's 2026 Ambassadors, one male and one female, who will be crowned
The Face of The Hunter 2026.


For the first time, Newcastle Racecourse is launching The Face of The Hunter, a
new initiative celebrating individuals who embody the style, spirit, and energy of
The Hunter. The winners, one male and one female, will be officially announced at
the media call at Nobby's Beach, marking an exciting new chapter in the
Racecourse's connection with the local community.


These inaugural ambassadors will represent Newcastle Racecourse throughout
2026, featuring across marketing campaigns, social media, and major race day
events, while enjoying VIP access and recognition as the faces of Newcastle's
