Media Release on behalf of Wheels 2026 (Council of ACT Motor Clubs)

Council of ACT Motor Clubs (CACTMC) will host a media launch
at 11am on Tuesday 16th December 2025 
at Thoroughbred Park in Lyneham, ACT


The Media launch is to announce that WHEELS 2026 – CACTMC's annual heritage motoring 
enthusiasts' display - is returning to Canberra

WHEELS 2026 will be held at Thoroughbred Park on Sunday 22nd March. 

The Council of ACT Motor Clubs is announcing the change to the event location to all ACT and 
regional motoring enthusiasts.

WHEELS 2026

2026 marks the 45th occasion of this prestigious event. The 2026 event will be held in the Cars Arena of Thoroughbred Park.

WHEELS is open to all marques of vehicle: cars, bikes, vans, utes, trucks, buses etc.WHEELS is attended by many motoring enthusiasts from the ACT and regional NSW and typically involve about 600 vehicles participating in the display.

The featured vehicles for WHEELS 2026 are: Military & Service vehicles; and classic MG's.

In recent years there have been approximately 600 vehicles on display, representing most of the major current and former manufacturers from the early 1900s to present day vehicles.

The Council is the peak body representing some 75 affiliated car clubs in the ACT and surrounding region. With the confidence shown in the Council by the ACT Government in delegating the management of the CRS scheme, ensuring the Council is seen to be a competent body and well-organized. All 75 clubs and delegates use every means to ensure that the reputation of the Council is always maintained.
