Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 45 Million
Juvenile maidens with three of the nine racing for the first time and we'll take a chance on one of them. (2) MAEUM HANA won his trial in good order, showing close to the pace throughout. He draws well to lead here and if he brings that form to the races, he can win. (1) AESUNI didn't do much on debut but was an improved 3rd at start two over this distance on November 8th. Third-up she can have an edge fitness wise and is a big danger. (3) GLOBAL LAND ran a fair 5th on debut over this distance on November 9th after a slow start from a wide gate. With the benefit of experience and a better draw, she can be closer. (6) PANGPANG DAERO and newcomer (5) POSITANO, the latter trialing behind Maeum Hana, others who may be supported.
| Selections | (2) Maueum Hana (1) Aesuni (3) Global Land (6) Pangpang Daero |

(10) MUJEOK HAMDAE enters off a 3rd and a 4th from his latest two at 1200M and 1300M. both times coming from off the pace. The wide draw won't be a problem, and he should prove too strong late on here. (2) EUNHA KALAS was an improved 5th of eleven over this distance in a filly maiden on November 15th, settling behind the speed and running on. Maia stays on and she can get closer this time. (3) THUNDER RUN led last time out before weakening to finishing midfield. From a good draw he can get a soft run to the lead again and is the one the rest will have to run down. (9) NAEGEROWAJWO and (7) DUSON LIFE other place chances.

(4) YONGBI SHINHWA was an also-ran in Listed Juvenile company at start number three but returned to much shallower waters to go down a very narrow 2nd over this distance on November 8th, having led. He remains in those shallows today and really should go one better. (7) MASTER KWAIGON raced twice this spring, managing a 2nd place. He hasn't been out since March, but he won a trial in decent order at the end of November, and this is a nice race to return in. (8) BLACK PEPE has shown progress across three starts so far, culminating in 3rd over 1200M on November 9th and he can match or better that here. (11) AMOS CHOEGANG and (9) HWANGGEUM MASK are others in line for the minors.
| Selections | (4) Yongbi Shinhwa (7) Master Kwaigon (8) Black Pepe (11) Amos Choegang |
| Next Best | 9, 1 |

Fillies only in this maiden. After an inauspicious debut in September, (1) YURIM ACE has registered back-to-back 3rd places in very similar races to this over 1200M. Seo Seung-un stays on, she will be on pace, and she can break through here. (2) STAY COOL weakened late having led over a mile on November 21st. She comes back to a distance at which she has placed and from the front, she will be the danger. (7) ROYAL CRYSTAL was an improved 3rd at start number three on what was her first try at this distance on November 9th. Franco climbs up for the first time, and she can build on that here. (6) DOROTHY QUEEN and (5) LOILOI are outside place chances.
| Selections | (1) Yurim Ace (2) Stay Cool (7) Royal Crystal (6) Dorothy Queen |
| Next Best | 5, 3 |
| Fast Start | 1, 2, 4, 7 |
(6) CHARMING QUEEN has finished in the top two on all her six starts so far and was a winner at this class and distance on November 16th when handy throughout. She only comes up 1kg in weight here and she is favoured to continue on her merry way here. (3) SUMMER PARTY returned from four months off on November 2nd and handled a difficult assignment well when 2nd at this class and distance. She should strip fitter for that run and can be in the mix here. (2) CAMP DAVID was 4th behind Charming Queen in that November 16th race and can challenge for a place here. (8) BLACK SATANG and (5) MK LEE are others to look out for.
| Selections | (6) Charming Queen (3) Summer Party (2) Camp David (8) Black Satang |
| Next Best | 5, 7 |
| Fast Start | 1, 2, 6, 7 |
(6) FANTASTIC BLUE has two 2nd places and a 4th from his latest three, most recently when leading until close to the line on November 16th. He only comes up slightly in weight and he can go one better here. That will mean overturning the form on (1) QUEEN AND SERVE, who won that November 16th race, showing handy throughout. An apprentice keeps her weight nice and low and she can be in the finish again. (7) HEY BROTHER is up in class following an emphatic all the way score over 1200M on November 14th. He was 2nd on his only previous try over 1400M and down in weight, he can measure up. (8) PLUTO was 3rd in the November 16th race. He was a winner at his distance at class 5 level (beating Hey Brother) and can be considered on at least a place line. (4) YONGAM BLACK an up in class chance having also win at 1400M.
| Selections | (6) Fantastic Blue (1) Queen And Serve (7) Hey Brother (8) Pluto |
| Next Best | 4, 9 |
| Fast Start | 1, 2, 4, 7 |
(5) FIVE STAR has a 3rd and most recently a 5th from three starts so far. That 5th was in a race on November 8th where the margins weren't big and where he came from off the pace. The step up to 1400M can suit, and he looks the one to beat. (1) PASA QUEEN has made progress over three outings so far, most recently running 3rd on November 15th when on pace. She too can appreciate a rise in trip and can be in the finish. (10) GRAY PHANTOM has seven top five finishes from eleven tries and while he is back up in weight without an apprentice claim here, he should be there or thereabouts again. (9) LIGHT WING and (11) CHEONGRYONG GIUN others who could be competitive.
| Selections | (5) Five Star (1) Pasa Queen (10) Gray Phantom (9) Light Wing |
| Next Best | 11, 8 |
| Fast Start | 1, 7, 9, 11 |
Juvenile maidens with all but three racing for the first time. (3) SHACKLE TOWN was strong in her trial, leading for much of the way before crossing the line a close 2nd in a quick time. She draws nicely, Seo Seung-un rides, and she won't need to improve much from the trial to win. (5) QUEEN WIND won her trial, leading all the way in a good time. She too can be on pace and has every chance of going well first-up. (9) SUNRISE was 2nd in her heat, a long way behind a good winner but showing plenty of promise and she will probably start as third-favourite. As for those with experience, (1) SUCCESS DAY and (2) KING BLACK can improve from their respective debuts.
| Selections | (3) Shackle Town (5) Queen Wind (9) Sunrise (1) Success Day |
| Next Best | 2, 6 |
| Fast Start | 3, 5, 9, 10 |
Fillies (and one mare) only here. (1) UNICA was a winner on debut before running 3rd in Listed juvenile company in September. She was 2nd when favourite on her return to regular company over 1400M on November 1st and she should be winning today. After running 2nd in a quick race over 1000M on debut, (8) ARION QUEEN CAR got her maiden win at start two at 1200M on November 8th when leading all the way. She is up in class but down in weight and has plenty of potential for more. (7) MUNHAK DAESE was a maiden winner in September and then ran 2nd on her first try at this class over 1400M on November 16th. She likes to come from off the pace and can be dangerous late. (6) DONGBANG FORCE and (5) BEST DREAM other place chances.
| Selections | (1) Unica (8) Arion Queen Car (7) Munhak Daese (6) Dongbang Force |
| Next Best | 5, 9 |
| Fast Start | 4, 5, 6, 8 |
(2) HEUIMANG DANBI got promoted to this class without a win but immediately put that right by scoring in a filly only affair over 1400M on November 2nd when on pace. She comes up 2kg in weight as well up to a mile for the first time, but Franco gets on, she draws well to lead again, and she can go back-to-back. (1) NEVERSTOP HEEMANG could repeat that. He is yet to win but is up in class following two consecutive runner-up finishes. They have both been over the mile and from a good draw and down considerably in weight, he can more than measure up. (5) UNJU MAGIC enters off a 4th place over 1400M on November 21st, settling midfield and running on. He has a smart finish on him and can go suit the mile. (10) FLYING THE FORD and (6) BARBELL MOMO are the other main place chances.
| Selections | (2) Heuimang Danbi (1) Neverstop Heemang (5) Unju Magic (10) Flying The Ford |
| Next Best | 6, 7 |
| Fast Start | 2, 3, 9, 10 |
(1) CHRYSOL MAJOR returned from almost seven months off to run 3rd over 1400M on November 22nd, coming from well off the pace. He should kick on as a result of that effort and having already placed at 1800M, he can win today. (9) TAENGGEURI has placed three times at the distance including both of his latest two. He too likes to settle back and run on and he can run into some money again. (5) BEOLGYO DESTINO was a winner on debut and has since run no worse than 5th in four outings at this class. He was an on pace 4th over 1700M on November 15th and while he may not necessarily lead here, he can be in the finish. (11) CHRYSOL PEACE and (8) GRATITUDE are others who may attract some attention on a place line.
| Selections | (1) Chrysol Major (9) Taenggeuri (5) Beolgyo Destino (11) Chrysol Peace |
| Next Best | 8, 6 |
| Fast Start | 2, 3, 6, 11 |
(6) GANGSEO TREND was a somewhat unexpected winner on debut over 1200M on October 24th racing handy all the way, He is up in class, as well as slightly in trip, but he is down in weight, Seo Seung-un is booked, and he can maintain his 100% record. (4) GLOBAL WONDER was a very close 2nd at this class and distance on October 31st. He only comes up 1kg in weight, he draws well, and a similar effort will see him in the mix. (8) KING'S KING was 3rd in the Rookie Stakes in August then 5th of eight in Listed juvenile company in September. He got his maiden win over 1400M on November 9th, leading all the way, and while up in class, he is down in weight and should be right in this. (10) DREAM RACER and (12) HANEUL GOLD are both up in class last start winners who can compete.
| Selections | (5) Gangseo Trend (4) Global Wonder (8) King's King (10) Dream Racer |

| Fast Start | 1, 3, 6, 8 |
Fillies and mares only here. (4) GRACE ROUTE was a winner at this class on November 22nd over 1700M, coming from off the pace. She is up 4.5kg in weight, but she has won at this distance too and there isn't much to fear here. The primary danger is (7) ANYANG GIPPEUM. Her latest win was at this class and distance four starts back and while she needs a line drawn through her latest, she looks nicely in here and will probably be ridden on or close to the pace. (10) QUEEN DIA enters off a 4th place at class and distance on November 8th. She has the joint-fastest time among these for the distance and can be in the mix again. (2) ULTRA HIT and (8) GEUNYANG GARA others in the hunt.
| Selections | (4) Grace Route (7) Anyang Gippeum (10) Queen Dia (2) Ultra Hit |
| Next Best | 8, 3 |

After running 4th in the Korean Derby and 5th in the Minister's Cup, (4) OASIS RED won back-to-back starts over this distance at class 3 level before running a very creditable 5th of thirteen in the G1 President's Cup at Seoul behind Speed Young. This is no easy task but he seems to still have some upside and he can win. (2) MY DREAM DAY was an also-ran in the President's Cup but he came back to run 2nd at this class and distance on November 2nd. Earlier in the year he beat Oasis Red when winning the Minister's Cup. He has every chance. They have both beaten before and will need to beat again (8) POSTMAN, who won that November 2nd race, continuing a solid run of recent form. An apprentice keeps his weight very low, and he'll be competitive from the front. (6) UNJU GUY was 2nd in the Derby and warrants respect. (7) B.J. CHIEF is always competitive.
| Selections | (4) Oasis Red (2) My Dream Day (8) Postman (6) Unju Guy |
| Next Best | 7, 5 |
| Fast Start | 2, 4, 6, 8 |
(1) WESTERN GUN has six top two finishes from eleven outings so far and was a winner at this class and distance in August. He is nicely drawn to get on or close to the speed and today can be his day again. He will need to overturn the latest form on (10) DRAGON KILLER, who ran 3rd to his 5th when they met at this class and distance on November 8th. Dragon Killer has never been outside the top three and Harry climbing on today can maintain that run. It's hard to see any of the others intruding on the exacta It's hard to say any of the others intruding on the exacta although (7) CHOEGO BELT is an intriguing debut maker under a light weight and could provide some each-way interest. (8) EFFEL TAP and (9) MALSGO are at best, place chances.
| Selections | (1) Western Gun (10) Dragon Killer (7) Choego Belt (8) Effel Tap |
| Next Best | 9, 11 |
| Fast Start | 1, 6, 9, 11 |
We'll take a chance on (6) GWANAKSAN TIGER here. A winner over a mile at class 4 level at the end of August, he was off a couple of months and then ran 4th on his first try at this class and distance on November 2nd. He carries a light weight, Johan knows him well, and the can win. (4) BLUE NELLO scored at this class and distance in September and has a 4th and a 3rd in two subsequent outings. He has the fastest time among these for the distance by a considerable margin and will start as the favourite here. (1) TANSEONGUI BANSEOK was well back behind Blue Nello in September but has since registered a 3rd and a 2nd in two subsequent outings at this distance and a mile. He likes to settle back and run on and can be dangerous. (9) SAEPARANG, who beat Blue Nello last time, and (10) YEONGWON BIG MAN others in the frame.
| Selections | (6) Gwanaksan Tiger (4) Blue Nello (1) Tanseongui Banseok (9) Saeparang |
| Next Best | 10, 5 |

Very competitive finale. (8) MIGHTY NEO had a hard time in the Korea Sprint but returned to form with a win at this class and distance on November 2nd when settling handy and proving too strong with a couple of today's rivals behind him. Under today's conditions he carries a light weight and he can go back-to-back. (6) YEONGGWANGUI WORLD was a class and distance winner in October and was 2nd to Mighty Neo on November 2nd. He still has a big weight despite coming down 1.5kg from that, but he has an excellent record and he can win. (5) WOW WOW has returned to form with a win, a 2nd, and a 3rd from his latest three and he can be in the mix again. (3) SUPER FINISH was 3rd in the Korea Sprint and while he struggled in his latest at Busan over 1400M, back at 1200M and drawn well, he must be considered a chance under an apprentice claim. (4) SPEED ONE among plenty of other placing chances.

| Next Best | 4, 9 |
