Today’s Horse Racing Tips - 10th May 2025
Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for May 10.
Major metropolitan meetings are today held at Caulfield, Morphettville and Ascot.
CAULFIELD: RACE 9 @ 4:50 PM
Tough finish. WINNASEDGE (5) is racing very well, fifth in a $500,000 race at Flemington two back before tackling the G2 Tobin Bronze Stakes at Morphettville and boxing on well for third to Reserve Bank, who is single figures in The Goodwood today. Tough draw but is 2/2 at Caulfield and will be very hard to hold out. CODIGO (11) is going well, winning two to start the campaign before a solid effort at Flemington. He'll be up on speed and looks a solid each-way hope at odds. PIVOT CITY (10) is flying, unsuited by drawing barrier one at Bendigo when having to wait for runs and getting out too late. Drawn towards the inside again is perhaps a knock but he'll be very hard to hold out. OH TOO GOOD (3) is a talented mare resuming. This is short of her best but she's got upside and may well be better than this grade. PRANCING SPIRIT (14) was knocked off as favourite last time but is going well and in the mix.
SELECTIONS: Backing Winnasedge & Codigo.

MORPHETTVILLE: RACE 7 @ 3:22 PM
BRIDAL WALTZ (13) ran strong time in front when leading pillar-to-post at Mornington over this journey. Open to further improvement third-up and gets the key booking of J Melham. A repeat effort will see her go back-to-back. NEW YORK LUSTRE (5) returned in sharp order with a decisive first-up win at Moonee Valley, making it five on the bounce. Draws well again and is 2/3 over 1200m. Sure to be very competitive. CLEO CAT (6) was impressive when resuming, putting away a small field at Warrnambool. Has enough tactical speed to overcome the wide alley and looms as a serious threat. LOVELY LOOKIN' (9) made light work of her rivals when resuming here last week. Strips fitter on the quick back-up and deserves respect. SEE YOU IN HEAVEN (1) never gave a shout when resuming in the G1 Robert Sangster. She's much better than that effort and this is nowhere near as tough. Don't dismiss.
SELECTIONS: Bridal Waltz to win.
ASCOT: RACE 1 @ 11:39 AM
I'M NIPOTE (2) stormed home over the top to score at Pinjarra 9 days ago, getting the nod in a photo finish to bring up back-to-back wins. Now Pike hops in the saddle from a suitable draw and the drop back in trip is no issue. Well placed and can bring up the hat-trick. FORTUNE'S LUCK (7) is better than she showed last start when beaten 3.1L after getting a long way back. Her form prior was solid and now CJP takes the ride from an inside barrier. Can bounce back to her best form. BOUSSAC (5) continues to go around in the market and with some support, but has been narrowly beaten his past couple. Gets the blinkers on now and Steve Parnham takes the ride. May be what he needs to get him back in the winner's stall. MAJOR MARIO (4) will be fitter for two trials coming in and is not to be discounted. THE SPRUIKER (3) can bounce back following a 4.7L defeat last start in a tougher race.
SELECTIONS: I'm Nipote can win again.
