Big meetings at Nakayama and Hanshin on both days.

At Hanshin on Saturday there was quite an upset in the Fillies Revue when Ghillies' Ball got the win.  She's by Epiphaneia and started on 24.5 with K Nishizuka in the irons. Saint Antoine ran second and I Need You, a Fine Needle on 6.9 was third.

At Nakayama there was the 2000 Guineas Trial, the Hochi Hai Yayoi Deep Impact Kinen.  We were delighted to see our pick Basse Terre win this from Reichtsadler and Admire Quads who were in a tight photo for the minors.  Basse Terre is the capital of Guadaloupe so he may have quite a following amongst the people of and from that island.
