Saudi's Big Weekend kicks off on Friday

The highlight of the first day will be the International Jockeys Challenge.

This will take place over four races on the card namely Race 2 the Mile Dirt, Race 3 the 1400m dirt for 4yos, Race 5 the 1200m turf and Race 6 the 2100m turf.

Australia will be represented by Queensland jockey Angela Jones and her female rivals are Hollie Doyle, Marie Velon, Saffie Osborne, Frida Valle-Skar and Nina Baltromei.

The men are Billy Loughnane, Luis Morales, Keita Tosaki, Mickael Barzalona and Dylan Brown McMonagle.

In the Mile Angela will be on Shaqra'a Sultan, a 6yo mare who is not without a chance coming off a rating of 95 but that also means top weight.

In the 1400m she's on Ableekh who is down in trip for this and has four wins from 19 starts.

For Race 5 she's drawn Malyan, a UK bred 5yo gelding by Twilight Sun who has five wins from 19 starts but the draw has put them close to the carpark.  Fearnot, Billy Loughnane's horse, is expected to do well.

In Race 6 she will be on Lough Derg, an Irish bred Galileo 8yo gelding with 3 wins from 21 starts ad a rating of 21.  Draw not the best.

Not in the Jockeys' Challenge Race 7 is the Saudi International Handicap over 2100m turf and here the Bahrainirunner Sovereign Spirit is expected to do well. He's by Le Havre and rated110 with 10 wins from 29 starts.  Connor Beasley has the ride.  My Frankel will be ridden by Riccardo Fereira and has eight wins from 29 starts.
