Friday sees this Gr1 over 1700m as very interesting since it is the only Gr1 prep for the Kentucky Oaks.
This weekend's winners of the 3yo races earn 50 points towards their entry qualification.
Heading the market for this race is Pletcher's Zany who is up the top of most peoples list for the Kentucky run and is 4/5 for this with Irad Ortiz in the irons. She's by American Pharoah and won at Tampa but this could be harder.
Percy's Bar is having her first start since Breeders and is on 7/2 which could be a bit short considering there is an odds-on favourite. Our slightly rough roughie is French Friction who is on 9/2. She's with Casse and Cristian Torres rides the daughter of City of Light.
And on Saturday we have the Madison Gr 1 over 1400m for f&m with 8 to run. We don't know much about these girls but the Morning Line has Grand Job on 2/1 for Mott-Alvarado, R Disaster 3/1 for Joseph-Gaffalione (one wonders what the "R" stand for) and Eclatant 4/1 for Cox- I Ortiz.
The Shakertown is over 110m on turf and has Litigation on 4/1 and the one we will probably got for Usually Wrong but they could change the name to "Often right" as he's won 9 of his 12 starts and is o 9/2 here for Diodoro-Castillo. My Boy Prine is 6/1 for Casse and JL Ortiz.
The Blue Grass Gr 1 is over 1800m for 3yos and is often a good lead into the Derby. Further Ado is a Gun Runner on 8/5 for Cox- I Ortiz, with Cherie deVaux'sReagan's Honor on 5/2 – he's by Honor A P, and Class President is on 7.2 for Pletcher-Velazquez.
We will look at Aqueduct and Santa Anita later.
