Two G2s in Japan on 7th and 8th March

Both races are for the up-and-coming 3yos

Saturday's race is the Hochi Hai Fillies Review over 1400m at Hanshin for the fillies.

It looks to be a very open race with three horses close in the market but that is starting on 6.0 for T M Steel, a daughter of Real Steel, with R Takasugi riding.  On 6.2 Shonan Charis is another Real Steel with Ikezoe on board, and 6.5 for Saint Antoine (yes we checked the name and it is a girl) by Drefong with jockey K Ogino.  Also in single figures (maybe because of the name) Funny Bunny on 8.7 is by Siskin with jockey F Matsuwake in the irons.

On Sunday the Hochi Hai Yayoi Deep Impact Kinen is over 2000m at Nakayama.  It's for the boys or at least all the runners are colts and there are 10 of them.  Reichtsadler is on 2.3 – another Siskin product with Y Tsunoda riding.  Admire Quads is on 3.2 – he's by Real Steel and Sasaki has the ride.  Tidal Lock is on 5.2 – he's by Maurice and Miura rides, and we rather like the look of Basse Terre, a Kitasan Black son on 6.7 with Kawada riding.
