Australian thoroughbred meeting are today held at Warwick Farm, Mornington, Ipswich, Port Lincoln and Ascot.
WARWICK FARM: RACE 6 @ 5:15 PM
AMREEKIYAH (7) is promising and looked a run short resuming at Kembla Grange over 1200m. Proven second-up and maps for the run of the race. Has plenty in the tank and she's the one they have to beat. STEEL STRIKE (2) is Stakes-placed and he just missed here first-up over 1200m. Led and won his only second-up outing and Clark will skip him across and ride the speed. Strips fitter and is sure to take pegging back. STARMAN (4) also races forward and was quickly back on track beaten less than 2L on the Kensington. Has a handy 3kg claim today and the blinkers are applied for the first time. Solid each-way claims. NOMORENIGHTSHIFT (8) made progress finishing midfield last start at this track and is up in distance, capable of a show.
SELECTIONS: Backing Amreekiyah to win.

MORNINGTON: RACE 7 @ 7:30 PM
SKETCH (9) looks very well placed in the final event. Going through her form- she started $2.20 (3rd) behind subsequent G1 VRC Oaks winner Strictly Business three back, then broke her maiden nicely at Caulfield Heath over 1600m. She was tested in the Listed Twilight Glow Stakes last time at Caulfield and wasn't beaten far carrying 56kg and now drops to just 52.5kg after the claim in a BM70, albeit against the older horses and males. This looks ideal placement and she rates well. MACEDON ROSE (5) can be forgiven on the wet ground at Pakenham last time which was heavier than advertised. She was a $3 chance there off a good win prior and can bounce back. WELCOMETOTHESHOW (6) continues to race well, finding the line for third at Caulfield Heath last time. Big each-way chance again. BLAZING HARRY (1) is going well behind some handy ones and he's well suited this grade. RUSSIAN FRONT (8) is racing well and a minor hope again.
SELECTIONS: Sketch to win.
IPSWICH: RACE 3 @ 2:48 PM
SWISS EXILE (2) hasn't been too far away in tougher Listed races this preparation and will find this assignment much more to his liking. Strips fitter third-up from the break and gets a jockey upgrade in the form of Maloney in the stirrups. Will be right there when the judge calls a halt. ATMOSPHERE (1) has a win and a placing from two spins around this circuit and is usually about the money. Top-three candidate on best figures. DON PEDRO (7) saves his best form for this distance range and gets Thornton in the saddle. May earn some minor money. TREPORTI (8) best of the rest in a race with only a couple of chances.
SELECTIONS: Backing Swiss Exile.
PORT LINCOLN: RACE 4 @ 2:50 PM
I'M A DEXSTAR (1) relished the drop in grade here last time when just missing the bob to Sir Lord. Peaking now and gets a handy weight swing on the winner. Expecting him to get the job done. I NEED A DRINK (2) comes through the same race, sticking on gamely into third. Also meets the winner better this time and fitter now, he's a genuine chance to turn the tables. SIR LORD (3) had their measure last time when arriving just in time but must lug an extra 2kgs. Still commands respect though the impost could prove telling. DIAMONDS ARE (6) made very light work of rivals when resuming at Ceduna. This is tougher but he gets in light with the claim and warrants consideration.
SELECTIONS: I'm A Dexstar to win.
ASCOT: RACE 7 @ 5:35 PM
TERRITORY MAN (10) flew home in good splits first-up at Belmont, finishing 0.4L off the winner. The form out of that race has been white hot and this shapes as a very suitable race on the back of that effort. Easy to think he still has improvement to come and he can get the job done this time. RALLY THE TROOPS (9) is another that flew home last start, this time in Saturday grade just 11 days ago. He's third-up here and boasts a strong third-up record. Chris Parnham hops in the saddle this time and if he can take closer order in the run, he'll be hard to hold out. SKYTALKER (5) gets the blinkers on first time today following a 1.3L defeat over this track and trip last time out. He finished behind Rally The Troops there but was solid from a midfield position. Can be in the finish once again. GOLDEN KATHLEEN (7) missed by 1.8L last start in a close finish through the same race as Skytalker. Include. CHERRY CAN RUN (2) will appreciate the easier company today.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Territory Man in the last.
