Sandown Lakeside Race 2 - Observer

Not hard to find the only horse really worth following from the meeting at Sandown with two-year-old colt by Ghaiyyath looking every bit a Group class animal with a dominant win over 1400m. He'd be strong to the line over 1200m on debut and relished the rise in trip here, leading throughout to score by five lengths. The time figure is clearly the best on the card, running around 11 lengths faster overall time than the older horses in the BM64 later in the day. Keen to see him continue to step up in distance for a stallion that was a world-class (133 rated) 2000-2400m horse.

Warwick Farm Race 1 - Penpel

Another impressive two-year-old winner makes the list to follow with Penpel giving a strong boost to the Agarwood form which has worked out well. That horse looks plenty promising and Penpel is certainly heading the right way herself, proving far too good after tracking the leader and coming clear to score by three lengths. Again, the time is good, running basically identical time to the older horses later in the day, and Penpel is probably one that doesn't aim too high. If that's the case, she'll be able to pick off more races.
