French banker of the day – 7th February 2026
Saturdays French banker is an unexposed filly who should be ready to roll following a break…

Rue Poussin (Aurélie Montauban Van Swijndregt/Clément Lecoeuvre) Deauville – R7 - Prix du Carrefour Charlet
Rue Poussin may not have run for 71 days, but all the signs are there that Aurélie Montauban Van Swijndregt will have her primed for her reappearance effort in the Prix du Carrefour Charlet.
A winner on the turf over one mile and three furlongs at Fontainebleau last October, Rue Poussin went on to perform admirably off her revised mark of 27.5, filling the runner-up spot over a trip just shy of ten furlongs at Deauville before collecting the bronze medal back over the same course and distance.
It's interesting that connections have opted to run over the same track and trip on her return to action, while the booking of experienced rider Clément Lecoeuvre, who was onboard for her Fontainebleau success, suggests she should be ready to roll first up after a break.
She has a good draw to work with in stall two and as a result, this unexposed daughter of It's Gino gets the vote to defy top weight.
