French banker of the day - 4th March 2026
Wednesday’s French banker is an unexposed three-year-old looking to get off the mark…
Space Good (Christophe Escuder/Marvin Grandin)
Marseille-Vivaux – R3 - Prix Lily's Candle
Space Good has been found a nice opening in the Prix Lily's Candle and looks somewhat banker material for connections who are by no means strangers from having winners at the venue.
He's run with complete credit on all four outings to date, finding the frame twice as well as shaping nicely on the other two occasions and with an official rating of 35 (French), he's clearly capable of landing a maiden contest of this nature.
Christophe Escuder's three-year-old has been racing over seven and a half furlongs in recent starts but has shaped as though stepping up in trip might spark some improvement. It's interesting that connections now see fit to move up to a mile and a quarter after his one-paced fourth-place finish at this track last month and from a good draw in stall four, he looks to hold major claims with course form also in the book.
