Hoping to strike early at Royal Randwick on Saturday in the TAB Highway Handicap Class 3 (1600m), with the Matt Dunn-trained Premise.Dubbed the "Highway King", Matt Dunn will be chasing his fortieth Highway win on Saturday with Premise, who is having her fourth start for the new yard.

Formerly in the John O'Shea and Tom Charlton stable, the classy daughter of Contributor has the two wins from twenty-two starts, including placings in the Group 3 Adrian Knox Stakes and Group 1 ATC Oaks in 2023.

Fourth up tomorrow after having mixed luck this preparation, expect to see Premise relish the massive drop in grade over the 1600m and overcome the awkward draw, where her class will come to the fore. 

Last start, Premise was unsuited over the 1350m at Ipswich in Class 6 company, when closing off to finish seventh with the 57kg.

The inform Ashley Morgan rides tomorrow on the limit weight, and it will be no surprise to see her push forward and stamp her class in the straight.

Premise has drifted in betting since markets went up on Wednesday, and the $3.80 on offer is acceptable.

Our next best comes up in the Midway Handicap (1600m), with the Kerry Parker-trained Callistemon, who finally broke through with a win over this track and trip last start.

Callistemon's confidence is now high, and Jason Collett retains the ride. The mare only has to handle the two-kilo weight rise from a better gate.

Expect to see Callistemon in the stalking position and get her chance again, after as much as $4.80 was available when markets went up on Wednesday.
