Two specials for metro racing at Gawler.
It looks a tricky meeting on paper with a big watch on the weather and the track.
I think we can start the day with a win and I'm pretty keen to be in the corner of Stolen Kiss in Race 1. She's an eight-start maiden so it's fair to say she's had her chance to break through before this but I saw enough in her first-up run to suggest she's come back better this campaign.
She was home from the back of the field in some of the fastest closing sectionals of the day first-up over 1050m when running third. Her final 600m was the equal second fastest of the entire meeting.
The step to 1200m second-up suits, as does the likelihood of a track well into the soft range. She's drawn a bit tricky but I'm backing in Lachie Neindorf to get it done and keep his hopes of an Adelaide Jockey Premiership alive.
She looks a bet at around $4.
I'm also keen to have something each-way on Motorace in Race 5. He was very good in a race short of his best last start and will relish the rise to 1500m. The 3kg claim bring him back to 61kg and he's drawn to get a perfect run behind the speed.
His form on rain-affected tracks is impossible to fault and I can't see him missing a place, hence why I think he's a great 1x3 play at the $5.50 currently on offer.
