Winning Trainer: Phillip Stokes

On the win: "He is a nice horse. I thought enough of him to have him in the Blue Diamond. We scratched because of the barrier and it's a big thrill. He put paid to them, conducted himself beautifully. He's an exciting colt going forward."

On running here: "We had everything ticked (to come to Sydney). When we got the bad barrier there and this looked good. We didn't know how to line up the form to be honest. Looks like the Melbourne horses might have the edge over Sydney horses."

On the future: "Two weeks to the Todman, that seems to be the race that sets up well."

On his prep: "I thought he was nearly there today. His first up run he was found wanting. I just think the trip away now, he will take a lot of benefit from this. First time going Sydney way too. Has conducted himself well there too. Chad Schofield gave him a lovely ride. He filled me with confidence when he got on the horse. A lovely watch."

On running in Sydney: "I came here today and couldn't remember the last time I'd been to Rosehill. I got lost but I know where we are now."

Winning Jockey: Chad Schofield

On the horse: "Even just going to the gates, he's just a beautiful animal. A colt with a great attitude, very genuine and just oozes quality. Yes (the connections) were full of confidence, and I got mine going to the gates."

On the run: "Very good turn of foot. The blinkers obviously sharpened him right up. He travelled well on a hot speed, and then accelerated sharply off that and was very strong through the line. He couldn't have been any more impressive."

Beaten Jockeys:

Tommy Berry (Incognito): "He is just doing the little things wrong at the moment. He was in a really good frame of mind today. He didn't bounce out into the bridle. Wanted to ride him quiet but not that quiet. Even in the straight I thought he was going to run on and get third. Wanted to hang in and do things wrong. He is a good colt but the good colts in the Slipper have to do everything right and he's just not doing that yet."

Zac Lloyd (Hidrix): "Very good run. He's found himself in a different set up today and I thought he conducted himself well. He'll be better for 1200m now."

James McDonald (Confederation): "He is a lovely horse. He's just getting it completely wrong over 1100m at Rosehill where we are hitting the bend and he's going left."

Reece Jones (Savage Look): "Thought he acquitted himself well in that type of grade. Got tired late and dropped out."

Adam Hyeronimus (Eviction Notice): "Ran really well. Was a bit worried about the 1200m but he deserves his chance now."

Tyler Schiller (Dr Hook): "He made a mess of the start. Put himself in a bad spot. I still felt he could have run on better. He got to them and wouldn't perform any better than that late."

Tim Clark (Shiki): "Had a nice run in behind them. Didn't quite finish off as strongly as she has in the past."

Alysha Collett (Wave Blaster): "Got into a good spot but hopefully she pulls up fine."
