Winning Trainer: Brett & Georgie Cavanough

Brett Cavanough Speaking

On the win: "I've got to try and hold it together a bit, very special today to do it with Georgie. She tipped her all week, she had faith in her."

On the ride: "Zac just took bad luck out of the equation, he made it his race, I just said whatever you do, cuddle her for as long as you can and when you go for her, she is just sharp as, so I'll be interested to see what he's got to say when he comes back."

On the horse: "She's never let us down, you feel for the guys at Quirindi in a maiden and Armidale in a Class 1 that bumped into that sort of horse in the country, but that's country racing."

Georgie Cavanough Speaking

On the ride: "It was just fantastic, had her in a nice rhythm, that's all she needs to let down like that late."

On the win: "Couldn't do it without Mum and Dad, it's all just very exciting."

On the horse: "She's been my pick all along, she didn't let us down, she's a very classy mare."

Winning Jockey: Zac Purton

On growing up in the country: "I was a country boy my whole childhood, so it's just great to team up with someone from there and win a race as important as this."

On the run: "She travelled really well, at no stage of the race did she give me any concerns. She was straight into the bridle, really happy and comfortable where she was in the going, travelled up the rise, thought she's been here for a while, is she going to empty out, but she kept going all the way.

Beaten Jockeys:

Blaike McDougall (Villasaurus): "I thought he acquitted himself as well as he could on this sort of deck."

Nick Heywood (Canadian Ruler): "Tried very hard. Barrier two was a disadvantage the way the track is playing."

Nash Rawiller (Considered): "Tried very hard. Probably hasn't gone up to her best. I think she may have had enough."

James McDonald (Vermicella): "She just had no gatespeed. Put us into the worst possible spot."

Jason Collett (Warrior For Peace): "Back and wide from the gate."

Clayton Gallagher (Micro Mikki): "Couldn't fault his run. Ended up in a nice position. Attacked the line quite strongly."

Anna Roper (Show 'Em Howl): "Didn't like the deteriorating track. Came off the bit early and wants to come back to 1200m."

Mathew Cahill (Tom Vegas): "Below par today. Didn't race to his best."

Ben Looker (Kaihoko): "Just trapped wide in the run. Probably better on top of the ground."

Zac Wadick (Turned Down): "He ran better than his price would suggest. Had to do a bit of work across. Found a nice rhythm. Qualifying out of just an OK heat, I think he ran well in that grade."

Adam Hyeronimus (Baby Ryan): "He tried his hardest."

Alysha Collett (Graceful Ellen): "Brilliant run by her. Very brave and took one a lot better to beat us today."

Rachel King (Bon Holler): "Tried really hard. Right there to the furlong but didn't enjoy the heavy track."

Tommy Berry (Fingers Hunter): "Just a bit keen in the run but was honest to the line."

Zac Lloyd (Poisen Point): "Probably the run of the race on face value. They went an ordinary gallop up front. Came from last and ran home well."
