The Bjorn Baker-trained Paradoxium hasn't raced since his Wyong Magic Millions win in December as the colt soon afterwards was found to have contracted pneumonia.

But the talented two-year-old showed be was suffering no lingering effects from the illness when he led most of the way to win his Rosehill trial by more than 4 lengths, recording a session-best of 53.42s for the 900m.

Baker confirmed plans to run Paradoxium next in the Group 2 Todman Stakes (1200m) at Royal Randwick on March 7 where the colt simply must win to earn a start in the $5 million Golden Slipper (1200m) at Rosehill on March 21.

It was a good morning for the Baker stable which won five of the 10 trials including with smart mare Perfumist and emerging three-year-old filly Horseshoe Hill.

The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott-trained Agrarian Girl, winner of the Lonhro Plate at her only start, stepped out at the Rosehill trials and won her heat easily by more than a length in 54.88s.

Group 1 winners Globe and Nepotism caught the eye in the opening heat, finishing first and fourth respectively in a 1030m trial.

Globe, from the Mick Price and Michael Kent Junior stable, hasn't raced since his upset win over Treasurethe Moment in the Caulfield Stakes but he shaped promisingly when edged out the smart Grand Prairie.

The Team Hawkes-trained Nepotism closed off the trial very strongly indicating he could be to regain his juvenile form from last season which included a win in the Group 1 Champagne Stakes.
