Highvol has been promising to do something over a trip this preparation and M.Zahra going on obviously suits but I can't price up that 'promise' shorter than Matsuda, who blew the clock up at Sale last start.

Eagle Farm: Race 2; #2 Merican Down Arrow

Happy to risk Mercian in this, the last start win was good, and he has been racing well however Georgina Cartwright is in poor form with just the two winners from her last 50 rides. Further, I think Cabaletto and Dream Smart are better horses, so I am happy to risk Mercian on the third line of betting.

GREYHOUNDS

The Meadows: Race 5; #6 Joni Black Down Arrow

Joni Black has only raced over this distance range once and I'm happy to take her on as there are some strong types in this event. If Paw Harris or Lamp Post settled right behind her mid race they should be able to run over the top of her late.
