Black Run won well in fast time last start but goes from a senior jockey to an apprentice, from a wet track to dry and is two weeks between runs rising to a distance where he isn't proven. Given these factors he looks well under the odds.

Caulfield: Race 4; #6 Beast Mode Down Arrow

I am happy to take on both the data teams and map guys, who will both surely find Beast Mode but 1000m at The Valley and 1100m at Caulfield are completely different beasts, pardon the pun. Hedged will have his back and I think can get over the top late.

Caulfield: Race 5; #3 Roll On High Down Arrow

One win in last 2 years and last 18 starts. Has started double figures in all of her past 13 starts , and we're being asked to take $3.50 now. Will get back in a race with no natural speed on paper. Very happy to take her on here.

Caulfield: Race 9; #1 My Gladiola Down Arrow

Well off at the set weights, it's just whether she has come through the Coolmore run well. Barrier 1 for a backmarker, back around Caulfield for the first time this campaign. Couldn't take even money.
