Black-type racing rolls on in Queensland this weekend.

The Queensland summer carnival continues to heat up at Doomben this Saturday with the running of the $200,000 Group 3 George Moore Stakes and a couple of Listed races supporting the competitive ten-race card.

Our best of the day comes up in one of the races leading up to the features in the form of Blazen Boots out of the champion Tony Gollan yard. 

This son of Tavistock returned to the winners' stall over this weekend's track and trip three weeks ago when hitting the line strongly over this mile journey. The seven-year-old has two wins and a second from just four attempts under these conditions and winning hoop Ben Thompson retains the ride. 

Draws to sit a little bit closer in the run this time from gate five and the $3.50 currently on offer looks to present some value. 

Our next best competes in race two with Alectrona looking to go one better after five consecutive runner-up finishes. 

This very consistent daughter of The Autumn Son has only missed a drum twice in 12 efforts over the 1350m distance range and gets in very lightly with Tahlia Fenlon's 2kg claim. 

Maps ideally for this contest from gate five and the $4.20 appears to be good shopping in a race where most of her main competitors have drawn poorly.
