He's having his first start in North Queensland after being a serial non-winner in the South East. He's bound to find this level of racing easier, but I can't get this 14-start maiden odds-on.

Geelong: Race 2; #8 Verhoeven Down Arrow

Quello Dorato has always shown good promise, he was not suited versus the race shape in both runs at his first preparation. Two jumpouts leading into this were very strong but the obvious issue is first-up at 1200m with a negative map. I'll be against Verhoeven, who was good first-up at Sandown then very plain in a basic race last start and the stable are struggling over their last 100 runners.
