THOROUGHBREDS

Bendigo: Race 1; #4 Jamesjohno Down Arrow

Jamesjohno has been well backed in early markets and although he is a winning chance and will surely win a maiden, he looks too short against both Darkbonee and I Said So, who both contested stronger maidens last start the closing sectionals of both indicated plenty of upside.

Ipswich: Race 3; #1 Guac On Down Arrow

Won maiden last start when well backed however that was jumping from barrier one when getting a good run throughout. From the widest barrier this looks tricky against others that also show good early speed and he could get caught wide throughout.

Randwick: Race 5; #2 Hellbent On You Down Arrow

Hellbent On You has found solid form this prep with 2 placings and a win so far, but not super keen on the set up she finds herself in for this race today. The higher rated runs through her career have all come on Good rated tracks, so the set up she gets here on the heavy track is less than ideal and she will also be faced with a tricky race map. Despite being drawn favourably she doesn't have the speed of others in the race such as Power Ballard so may have to make up some ground in unfavourable conditions.

GREYHOUNDS

The Meadows: Race 9; #4 Manager Down Arrow

Manager won well here last week but this is a lot tougher and there is a big pest factor in this race. Edinburgh Bale, This Bad Boy and Quest For Angel are all capable of annoying Manager in the early or middle stages and that's enough to hopefully get him beaten and warrants a Lay bet.
