THOROUGHBREDS

Gosford: Race 6; #12 Rantan Down Arrow

Taking on Rantan in this race who at time of writing was the race favourite. Feel by this stage of the day, if the track is playing as expected, and it is favourable to be on speed, she may find herself in an awkward position from that inside barrier as she is a type that gets back usually. She is a chance to find herself pushed back and covered up on the rails which could make it tough to get a run late in the ideal ground.

Morphettville: Race 5; #1 Cavity Bay Down Arrow

She's racing very well, having run fourth in the Group 1 Australasian Oaks and fifth in the Group 1 SA Derby at her past two starts. It's a tough ask of her to now back up for a third-straight Saturday after having two grand finals already. She's been big odds in both of those runs, so we're taking her on at the top end of the market.

Caulfield: Race 3; #9 Freight Train Down Arrow

Happy to oppose Freight Train, who is hard to trust and now lacks the upside that saw him start hard in the market at most, if not all of his career starts. He gets a good run from an inside draw but that is where the positives end for me.

Gold Coast: Race 5; #4 Fabulantes Down Arrow

I can't get this horse as short as the current market bring an average Ipswich maiden win overall figure to this race. Beadman and Sunrays look better horses, and I would be surprised if one of them don't win this race.

HARNESS

Albion Park: Race 5; #4 Delilah Rose Down Arrow

Against Delilah Rose here, not sure where she gets to in transit and her last couple have been a tad below par for her usual high standard.

Melton: Race 3; #12 Tictok Down Arrow

Talented horse but has a few gait issues & this a lot harder than recent wins. Looks a risk.
