‘Once again, he looks to have been overlooked in the market’ - Sam King’s daily wagers
Sam King is back with two selections on Friday.
The pick of the action comes from Sandown today, with the best bet on the card being Miss Justice, who was a touch disappointing when returning the beaten odds-on favourite at Wolverhampton last month.
John and Thady Gosden's filly looks set to show improved form now upped in trip on her handicap debut.
A nicely-bred daughter of Justify, she chased home a useful prospect over the same trip at Wolverhampton two starts ago, with that form taking a boost when the winner followed up under a penalty in a novice event at Leicester.
The booking of William Buick catches the eye and from a good draw in stall three, she's selected to defy this opening rating of 82 in the Class 3 ten-furlong handicap at 3.15.
1pt Win - Miss Justice
Odds - 2/1
Just thirty-five minutes later, the improving Antelope can complete the hat-trick under Sean Levey,
Trained by Richard Hannon, the three-year-old gelded son of Lope de Vega has been going from strength-to-strength in recent starts, winning snugly at Haydock before following up in good style at Leicester last time despite being underestimated in the betting.
He's up 6lb for that effort but is clearly thriving at present and a current mark of 75 might not be enough to halt his progression.
Once again, at a general 8/1, he looks to have been overlooked in the market, while he should enjoy a nice toe into the contest from the inside draw in stall one.
Plenty of those ahead of him in the betting have something to prove, but the same cannot be said for Richard Hannon's chestnut, who is two from two over this trip and proven under similar conditions.
1pt Win - Antelope
Odds - 8/1
