Australian Harness Racing Preview - Saturday, 29th November 2025

Last year’s winner Leap To Fame may be bypassing Saturday night’s Sunshine Sprint at Albion Park but the crown could be staying in Queensland thanks to an ideal draw for exciting pacer The Janitor.

Chantal Turpin's progressive four-year-old faces a couple of strong Sydney rivals in the $75,000 Group 2 feature over 1660m but his bid received a big boost courtesy of the number two marble.

The Janitor is an exciting prospect who is becoming a mile specialist, taking his record at the distance to nine from 13 with a 3.2m win last time.

That was the fifth time in a row he has won when racing at Albion Park and all have been from wider or second row barriers so he should get every chance to repel the interstate challenge.

Hi Manameisjeff was below market expectations in Sydney last start but had been going very well with a string of top-two finishes prior including a brave second in the Victoria Cup where he split the subsequent NZ Cup quinella of Kingman and Leap To Fame.

He draws lower than he did last time and placed behind leap To Fame in this race last year.

Miracle Mile and Inter Dominion winner Don Hugo cops a back row draw but has been good when second in his two starts since a spell and strikes at 50 per cent when third up so should be close to his peak.

He has the class to win from anywhere so only needs a touch of luck to be a big theat.

Birkirkara and Wisper A Secret may both need some luck from wide draws but are talented locals with exotic claims.

Reliable mare Golden Sunset has the class to overcome a 20m handicap again when she shoots for the hat trick in the Group 2 Darrell Alexander Trotting Championship Final earlier on the program.

She came from this same handicap when winning heats of this series in her last two outings, scoring by 4m over the 2647m distance in round one to take her strike rate at the journey to 50 per cent.

She hasn't missed the top three this time in and looks a big chance to land the hat trick.

Hide And Seek worked to the front from this mark before scoring a 1.5m win in his latest heat. His strike rate at this longer distance also stands at 50 per cent so he looks a danger.

Zealous Spur has 6m to make up on Golden Sunset through the last-start third but he dug deep to win in round one so should enjoy getting back out over longer journey.

Get Used To It hasn't won for a while but is consistent, adding to a long string of top-four finishes by placing in both rounds of the series.

He must be included in exotics along with Taylad To Use who was a big improver when second up in round two and could be peaking at the right time.

The 2025 Vicbred Super Series wraps up with the four-year-old pacing finals at Melton on Saturday night.

Trainer Emma Stewart won a pair of finals last week and the early markets suggest she will dominate these last two.

The ace draw gives War Dan Buddy every chance to beat his in-form stablemate Miki To Success in the entires and geldings final.

War Dan Buddy went straight to the front and cruised home by nearly 14m in last week's semi final and will be looking to do the same again.

Miki To Success draws on the back line again but has won his last four starts - three of them from that row - and won the three-year-old colts and geldings final of this series last year.

Stewart's Kiss will start a hot favourite after drawing gate one in the four-year-old mares final.

She has won both rounds of the series so far, coming from this same draw in her semi final where she was beaten for early speed but proved too good.

Stewart also has Eureka Jo and Uniquely Ideal from back row draws but the biggest danger could be Sweet Ideal who draws well and is peaking at the right time having improved to go under by just a head in her semi final.
