There are 18 fillies tackling the 2400m G1and only one of them has tackled the trip before so it's a matter of seeing how they've been finishing in recent racing. The Oka Sho or Japanese 1000 Guineas gives places in this race to the first five over the line and four of them are in – Embroidery, the winner, Arma Veloce 2nd, Lynx Tip 3rd and Erika Express 5th. And there's Kamunyak who won the Flora, an official trial for the Yushun.We have been very taken by Embroidery who runs for Silk Racing so a very apt name. She's won both her starts this year with a G3 before the G1 Oka Sho and comes in to this as favourite on 3.3. Lemaire rides the filly who is from Admire Mars's first crop. Arma Veloce is a Harbinger filly and it was a very close contest between her and Embroidery in the Oka Sho. She's on 4.0 with M Iwata riding and there isn't much between her and Lynx Tip on 4.1. Cristian Demuro rode her in the Oka so brother Mirco now take over. Erika Express is on 12.0 which may be due to her drawing the car park. She's by Epiphaneia and will be relying on jockey Tosaki finding a spot for her. Flora winner Kamunyak will be ridden by German jockey Andrash Starke and she's on 13.4.
