TRIAL POINTERS

WARWICK FARM April 29: In a keenly run heat over 799m the eye catcher was the late work by LULUMON taking advantage of the better ground out wide to run home strongly for second. 2YOs to make an impression in the juvenile heats included FIREPOP and FULLALOVE.

RANDWICK April 24: AGARWOOD is another sharp runner by Wootton Bassett with this unraced 2YO filly showing the benefit of two previous trials to post the biggest win of the session, running away with her 1045m heat by almost eight lengths in the fastest of the four juvenile heats over the distance (63.67; 34.87). I AM BRAVE, a newcomer by I Am Invincible, showed natural talent to win the 3YO heat over 740m in the fastest time for the distance (43.66; 33.66). Travelled three and four wide and was a couple of lengths off the leaders at the 400m before working to the line strongly, running through the line with something in reserve. Other open heat winners gearing up for good campaigns included FLYING THINKER while the 2YO heat winners to make an impression included NAZWAH.

WYONG April 24: Quality sprinter BRUDENELL recorded a comfortable win in his 845m heat (52.22; 37.75). The fastest 845m heat was won by the maiden MAL COUPE (51.31; 37.19) while AVON CALLING was another to perform well in the 845m heats.

RANDWICK April 14: An excellent first trial by the Snitzel colt INQUISITOR to finish second in a sharp 2YO heat over 1050m (63.94; 34.80). He settled at the rear and was 10 lengths off the lead turning for home before impressive work over the last 200m saw him cut the margin to two lengths. Smart Shalaa filly WINNING PROPOSAL is a new addition to the Bjorn Baker stable after taking on some classy races for her former trainer Kristen Buchanan. A typical Baker trial to lead and was never off the bit extending easily off the turn to win her 740m heat by a soft margin in the quickest of the three heats over the distance (42.89; 32.74). Other 1050m trials that took the eye included the maiden WALK THE PIER.
