「阿拉兹」由小拉尔夫·威尔逊（Ralph Wilson Jr）培育，在基内兰11月育种拍卖会（Keeneland November Breeding Stock sale）中它被艾伦·保尔森（Allen Paulson）花费35万美元以断奶马买下，之后「阿拉兹」被送至法国由弗朗索瓦·布丁（Francois Boutin）调教。

「阿拉兹」1991年时为两岁马，当时它共出战了7场，战无不胜，这其中有4场都是一级赛。它曾在一级赛育马者杯两岁马大赛（8.5弗隆）中以5个马位的距离轻松取胜。

「阿拉兹」3岁时共参与了6场赛事，并再为自己的职业生涯记录中增添了两个级别赛的胜利战绩。它在一级赛肯塔基德比赛（9弗隆）中是大热门，但最终仅位列第8，1992年10月时它在一级赛育马者杯英里赛（8弗隆）中未能跑入前三，之后它便正式退役至纽马克特的达利Dalham Hall育马场内开始育种。它曾在肯塔基和日本育种过，之后于2003年时在维州的独立种马站（Independent Stallion Station）内开启了它在澳洲的首个育种季。2011年时，它不再育种。

作为种马，它旗下最出色的子嗣是「康加里」（Congaree）。
