Winning Trainer: John O'Shea & Tom Charlton (Tom Charlton comments)

On the win: "Huge credit to the horse and all the staff. We were in a spot of bother after his first-up run and full credit to everyone and the processes that took place."

"They were two-week turnarounds to these races and full credit to the horse, he's a real tough sort of conveyance."

"We were confident we were going to bounce back, but whether we were going to get to a grand final four weeks later able to produce a performance like that was up for debate."

On his future: "His record sums him up as a horse. Up the running there, he was having a look around. I think he's not the finished article yet, which is exciting."

"He needed to improve again today. He had to do a bit of work from the outside gate and got a bit of a breather in the mid-section, so credit to Zac. The staff and everything they've done to get this horse here today is really special."

Onto the Doncaster?: "He will have to keep improving but it's the type of race we will look towards, for sure, but we'll enjoy today."

Winning Jockey: Zac Lloyd

On Yorkshire: "He is progressing into such a good horse. Very push button to ride for me. He gets galloping and when he's in that sort of mood, he is hard to get past."

On him wandering around in the straight: "I gave him a click as we came into the straight, expecting him to pick up slowly, and he really let down and had a big Royal Randwick straight to look at."

"He did it last start as well. He just wandered around a bit. It will be interesting to see when he can maybe be in front on the rail and really concentrate to see how he will lengthen."

"He's a good horse and he is definitely rising and maturing as well."

Onto the Doncaster?: "The O'Shea-Charlton team has another good horse (Linebacker) who fits that profile, so I'll leave it up to them and whatever they want me to ride, I'll be more than happy to ride."

Beaten Jockeys:

Nash Rawiller (Gringotts): "Great effort. Felt like we came home as good as we have been. Just on the firmer ground he got anchored by the weight. I tracked up behind the second horse. I felt on the firmer ground he couldn't show the turn of foot he's shown his previous two runs."

Adam Farragher (Duke De Sessa): "Probably wants it a little bit softer. Ready to go back up in trip."

Adam Hyeronimus (Estadio Mestalla): "Brilliant yet again."

Ashley Morgan (Robusto): "Really good run. Found our self in a good spot. Just went to challenge the winner and it kept running out into my line. Probably took his eye off the game for a little bit. A courageous run."

Braith Nock (Victoria Road): "Found a midfield spot early. Got flattened by Gringotts. Ran out of horse at the end."

Reece Jones (Darnation): "A bit disappointing. Very revvy. Never finished off."

Tom Sherry (Arctic Glamour): "Racing a little bit flat today."

Tommy Berry (Territory Express): "Doesn't want to be here."

Regan Bayliss (Democracy Manifest): "He hung severely down towards the rail in the straight."

Tim Clark (Matusalem): "Ready for a step up in trip now."

Kerrin McEvoy (Rise At Dawn): "Game run. He performed well."

Jay Ford (Loch Eagle): "He is just not effective these days unless he sees wet ground."

Dylan Gibbons (Tavi Time): "Funny horse. Just set himself too much of a task early."

Alysha Collett (Steparty): "Extremely brave run. Didn't have much luck in running. Stuck on reasonably well."

Rachel King (Amor Victorious): "Really good run. Got a beautiful run in transit. Tough race but he was very tough."

Winona Costin (Melody Again): "Really good run. Just didn't have the luck in the straight."

Tyler Schiller (You Wahng): "I thought she was good. Had a lot of ground to make up. Just a bad barrier."

Beau Mertens (Sabaj): "Great run. Got into a nice spot from an awkward draw. Didn't have anything to tow him into it. Closed off well."

Jason Collett (Enxuto): "Great run. Copped some interference late. Cost us running closer."
