Winning Trainer: Ciaron Maher (Johann Gerard-Dubord comments)

On the mare: "She is very tough. She has been so consistent. She has been finding it hard to win every now and then but two starts ago she got her head in front and that gave her some confidence. She was very good on Tuesday and stepping up to 1800 we thought would suit her."

"We probably didn't expect her to be that far back, but Reece (Jones) made the right call when he stuck to the inside and she was very tough. It's a great result, a great prizemoney race and backing up from Tuesday into today, it's not easy to do. She is very tough."

How did they keep her fresh after Tuesday?: "She did go to the beach on Wednesday and she's just been off the pony after that. We have kept her nice and fresh. It's a great team effort to have her backing up like that."

"A few of the owners are here today and they've had a lot of fun with her. It's a big win. She has won good prizemoney today. She earned $600,000 on Tuesday. It has been a good week."

Winning Jockey: Reece Jones

On the training effort: "Can I say what a training performance by Ciaron and the team. Raced a couple of days ago in the Big Dance. Ran out of her skin that day. Came here and ran out of her skin again today. Just a model of consistency. She is always thereabouts."

On the run up the fence: "I tried to get off a little bit earlier but there was nothing happening in front of me. I opened up my eyes and saw a great big passage opening up down the straight. Just went for it."

"She was real tough. When I was so far back early, she wasn't travelling all that well for me. I was a little bit worried. I was thinking she might not have backed up. Then it made me look silly."

Beaten Jockeys:

Tommy Berry (Transatlantic): "He has done a great job with that big weight. From the gate he had to work from. Showed his class to fight on and just get beat."

Tom Sherry (Port Lockroy): "He has run well. We had to go back from a wide gate. He was tough enough late."

Cieren Fallon (Bullet Point): "Missed the kick and was in a pocket. They went very slow. Nothing we could do. Would have been nice drawn wide when slow away. You can kind of made a move out wide. In a pocket so we had to sit. Got done for a turn of foot."

Alysha Collett (The Inflictor): "Doesn't run the 1800m. Was very brave in defeat."

Regan Bayliss (Ducasse): "Has run absolutely super. Is flying this horse."

Joao Moreira (Militarize): "Had a smooth run. Hit the line very strongly. Was a little bit unlucky."

Nash Rawiller (Rise At Dawn): "He went well. I just think getting towards the end of a prep on firm tracks catches up with them a touch. Probably gone at 96%."

Zac Lloyd (Firestorm): "Probably just raced a bit flat today. Not much more to add."

Kerrin McEvoy (Shadizi): "He was even. Maybe softer ground."

Ashley Morgan (Fukubana): "Tough trip but he is probably not quite right. If he comes good for me he is a nice horse."
