Winning Jockey: Tommy Berry

On The Win: "The race was over halfway around with his calibre getting it that easy in the middle stages, it was going to make it hard to pick him up. And we just increased the tempo just before the corner.

"It's funny because Tony said to me this morning, he said, 'Look, he's better with sit. He floats a bit in front and he did that with his Group One win. And when he gets challenged, he picks up and fights. So I just changed the stick over at the 100 to make sure we got the job done. But there wouldn't have been a better placed horse anywhere in Australia than he was today."

On where to next: "I actually texted Tony to say well done after winning the Group One in Melbourne. And he goes, "you want a good ride in the Five Diamonds?" And I didn't even think he was eligible after winning the Group One. But you know, he looks like if he gets the right sort of run in two weeks' time he might have it in his wallet. Obviously he had the right form coming into the race and he proved that just then. And look, if there's more pressure in a Five Diamonds, it's probably going to suit him better where he's just got a bum to follow and that's been his best performances in the past."

On 1800m in the Five Diamonds: "He's done it today with the weight. Extra 300 metres. Oh, look, he came back in distance today, it was a mile the other day, so yeah he's come back 100m and handled that well. Look, when a horse relaxes that well, I don't think the extra trip is going to worry him. And class can take you quite a way when you get to those sort of races up against his own age."

Beaten Jockeys:

Tommy Berry (Transatlantic): "It was all over at the start and half way around nothing was going to beat him with the sectionals we were running up front. He's a class horse and hopefully he can do it again in two weeks time up to 1800m."

Jason Collett (Encap): "He copped a bit of interference as he was about to launch which didn't help but I thought he was entitled to hit the line a bit better."

Tim Clark (General Salute): "He's probably had one of the best non-winning preparations of any horse I've ridden for quite a while."

Regan Bayliss (Mchale): "I thought he was ok. It was very controlled up front and I thought he went through his gears pretty well."

Alysha Collett (The Inflictor): "Really brave run. He overdid it a bit in front but he stuck to his task really well."

Celine Gaudray (Cafe Millenium): "He ran well. From the barrier I couldn't get any closer than three wide and in a slowly run race he was always going to struggle from back there."

Chad Schofield (Saltcoats): "Travelled well but he didn't finish off at all. It was slowly run which didn't help."

Adam Hyeronimus (Les Vampires): "He wants more ground."

Kerrin McEvoy (Shadizi): "He ran a decent race and can improve over a bit further."

Ashley Morgan (Fukubana): "He's going well but today, returning off a little setback he was a bit fresh and wanted to overdo it on me. That will take the edge off him."

Winona Costin (Miss Emma): "Back in grade and she can run a race next time."
