Australian thoroughbred meeting are today held at Warwick Farm, Sandown Hillside, Eagle Farm, Ascot and Murray Bridge.

WARWICK FARM: RACE 2 @ 2:55 PM

HAY STREET (4) is a smart three-year-old back from a five-month spell. Finished three lengths away in the Group 3 Vain Stakes when fresh from a break last prep, and ran North England to 1.2 lengths in the Kindergarten as a two-year-old. Recent trial winner who looks better than these. BUCKEYE (1) settled midfield but couldn't improve in a disappointing performance as favourite first-up over 1100m at the Gold Coast. In the money three times prior to that so he has ability. Blinkers go on today which might spark a revival. Gai and Adrian's first starter WRITTEN IN WRATH (8) is a key runner. Half to the Stakes winners Daisies and Zou Tiger. Bolted in recently in a Randwick trial. Clearly has talent and any push in betting must be heeded. PREMIUM (13) led and showed plenty of ticker but was nailed late when resuming over 1100m at Canterbury last start. Can improve and is a definite threat. SPLASH OF STEEL (7) caught the eye first-up at the Gold Coast and will enjoy the extra 100m today.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Hay Street.

SANDOWN-HILLSIDE: RACE 8 @ 7:30 PM

WATERSPORTS (9) looks well placed. She's a consistent mare who hasn't missed the placings in four runs this campaign, beating subsequent winner Porter two back at Cranbourne, close up behind another subsequent winner Midnite Storm at Flemington last time out. This sets up very well for her, tracking the main dangers, and she only needs to hold her form to be back to winning ways. SAVAMOON (5) is going well, just edged out after doing a bit of early work over this track and distance last start. Drawn wide this time but he'll roll across and take catching. SIRIUS STATEMENT (4) was better last time and has each-way claims, as does ITAZURA (10) who was just fair last time in a stronger race at Flemington but had won his maiden well prior.
SELECTIONS: Watersports to win.

EAGLE FARM: RACE 6 @ 5:33 PM

MORAVIA (9) presents third-up off rich Magic Millions features. Was quickly back on track beaten 1L at the Gold Coast last time when he led them up. Has a handy 3kg claim and he will jump and run from the inside barrier. Well-bred and should have them covered. Gollan has kept HELL TO PAY (6) in and scratched the other three. The former Sydney galloper was never in the hunt at the Gold Coast fresh, but he's placed 3/3 second-up and his best metro form is solid enough. Jones rides and he can form the quinella. VOS SAVANT (11) was an easy winner at the Gold Coast and then stepped up to a 70 here over a mile and was beaten a nose. He's capable but needs to lift to match the above pair. DON'TCHA THINK (2) resumed in the NSW country and missed by 1.3L as favourite. He has more to offer but this class will test.
SELECTIONS: Moravia to win.

ASCOT: RACE 7 @ 5:22 PM

QUEEN ARIA (7) flew home to just miss fresh before stepping out to this trip last start and getting the job done comfortably. Pike hops back in the saddle now and she's expected to be better again now third-up into the campaign. Looks a nice mare on the way up and she can get the job done again. EXCELINDEED (3) was off a long break first-up but still jumped an odds-on chance when disappointing at Bunbury. He'll be better for that run and looks well suited out to this trip now. Brad Parnham replaces the apprentice hoop and a better showing is on the cards. BUNDABERG (8) was gunned down late by Queen Aria last start but it is worth noting that he jumped an odds-on chance ahead of her there. Third-up now and he meets Queen Aria slightly better at the weights. Can turn the tables. GIRLS ON FIRE (5) missed as favourite on resumption and now gets Chris Parnham and the blinkers on first time. Keep safe. SNIPPY SEAN (4) is better than we saw last start and can bounce back.
SELECTIONS: Queen Aria can repeat the dose.

MURRAY BRIDGE: RACE 8 @ 5:10 PM

ECLAIR VITALITY (5) knuckled down strongly to grab second when resuming here last month. Kept fresh with 34 days between runs and will appreciate the extra 100m. Expect him to drift back early and be saved for the final shot at them. SMASHING ACTION (9) was a brave all the way winner last time at Gawler. Backs up quickly and gets weight off with the 2kg claimer engaged. Has more to offer fourth-up and from the good draw, she's sure to be in this for a very long way. TAKING OMAHA (13) pulled up with excuses last time when dropping out the back of the screen as favourite at Gawler. Freshened with 32 days and keeps Holder engaged. No shock to see him bounce back sharply. Have to keep safe. RUNAWAY BELLE (11) returns, readied with two trials. Lacks early toe but will appreciate the hot tempo, so she can launch late.
SELECTIONS: Eclair Vitality to win.
