Australian thoroughbred meeting are today held at Sapphire Coast, Murwillumbah, Sale, Werribee, Sunshine Coast, Strathalbyn and Bunbury.

SAPPHIRE COAST: RACE 7 @ 5:00 PM

ASSOCIATE (6) in career best form and races best over this trip. Jumped in trip with the 59kg when a tiring sixth over 1800m at Randwick Kensington behind Harlow Mist. That form is good enough for this and assess on his slick Ted Ryder victory two-starts back. DUMEBI (10) ready to peak fourth-up and gives every indication of getting the mile. Ran a slashing fourth from back in the field over 1425m at Moruya. Maps well and has top-three claims. ZOUATICA (1) proven in stronger grade and comes to hand quickly. Sat on the good speed with the 63.5kg to finish a close fifth over 1425m at Moruya. Fitter now and gets his chance from the gate. DIRECT FIRE (9) has a good record at this course and distance and backs-up quickly. Three weeks between runs when a respectable third over 12400m at Warwick Farm on January 26. Will push forward from the sticky gate and give plenty of cheek. MIGHTY MYRTLE (8) stretches out to the mile for the first time and due for a change of luck. Place best.

SELECTIONS: Associate can stamp his class in this easier race.

MURWILLUMBAH: RACE 4 @ 3:20 PM

TOPHET (1) returned from a five-month spell and was having his first run since switching to the Matthew Dunn stable when comfortably home over 1000m at Ballina last start. Must shoulder a big weight but it is only an 1100m sprint so he should just roll along near the lead from gate one and prove hard to stop again. SUPERSONIC MAN (3) went to the lead in a change of tactics then defied all challengers last time out over this course and distance. Takes on some smarter types today but on an eight-day back-up he should be highly competitive again. COUNT NICHOLAS (5) was poor at Gatton recently after a tough first-up win at the Gold Coast. Not a reliable conveyance but from a good draw can turn up and run a decent race. Lightly raced filly CASTIGLIONE (9) resumes after a 23-week spell. Will be better for this hit-out but in a shallow race she can fill a top four spot. Last start Ballina winner ZAINDARA (4) is a progressive filly who can make her presence felt.

SELECTIONS: Tophet looks too good for these.

SALE: RACE 6 @ 3:45 PM

BRING FORTH (1) resumes and looks well placed. He got over more ground last time in but the 1600m fresh looks ideal. He looked the goods winning a recent trial at Sandown Hillside and this race lacks depth. He's got the pace to take up a position and prove too strong. TWILIGHT ELEGANCE (7) resumes. She was another who got over further last preparation but is lightly raced and can progress this time in. She can be strong late. MAKTOOB (2) is struggling to win but wasn't far away last time at Seymour in fourth. He's the one better suited at a mile than a couple of key rivals. LENSMAN (6) steps up to 1600m off two minor placings at 1400m. He should take up a forward spot and figure in the finish. LUCKY LUCKY BOOM (8) is lightly raced off a maiden win at Yarra Valley and could measure up.

SELECTIONS: Bring Forth to win.

WERRIBEE: RACE 3 @ 2:50 PM

RAZANNE (12) peaks for a top barn off two placed efforts and he was heavily bet over 1400m at Pakenham last time (vet cleared). Will likely settle handy despite the awkward barrier and is well placed to be winning. PANELLI (7) spiked his figures placing at Yarra Valley over 1514m two starts back before leading and fading beaten 3L here over this trip. He was vet cleared and inclined to forgive. Has the blinkers on for the first time and rates to be right in it. MICKIDABEEL (2) ran well over a mile before the break and then didn't have the best of it from a wide gate at Yarra Valley first-up over 1500m. Will have to do it the hard way again but presents fitter and will hit the line. I AM TITAN (1) ran some tidy efforts earlier in the campaign but hasn't had much luck his last three. He won't be far away, putting his best foot forward. OLYMPIAD (6) is a likely improver from the McEvoy yard and John Allen rides today.

SELECTIONS: Razanne to win.

SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 7 @ 4:10 PM

CAPITAL DIVA (4) brought strong form to resumption and raced forward when beaten just 1L over 1100m at Ipswich Has been kept on the fresh side and maps for the run of the race. She has more to offer and can take this out with the extra fitness. INTRECCIATO (12) twice missed a nose at the Gold Coast before being outgraded at Doomben. Much better suited and rates right up to this. She can feature with average luck in the run. HOME ZONE (6) was plainer here last time but was good winning a CL1 at the track prior. That sort of form would have her in the frame and she jumps from an inside barrier. DECORATIVE (11) resumes for the Currie yard and is worth a betting watch.

SELECTIONS: Backing Capital Diva.

STRATHALBYN: RACE 5 @ 3:25 PM

SOMEWHERE SOON (10) was a big improver second-up here when launching a strong late bid to get within a length of the winner. Peaking now and can go a couple better with fresh legs. HEAD OF THE HERD (2) has mixed his form this time in but is a track and trip winner here and finally draws a good gate. Crowther's booking shows stable confidence. TOFINO (7) backs up quickly after a moderate effort at Gawler. Was a brave winner over the track and trip two back. Keeping safe. MORLAIX (8) is In a suitable race and should be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: Somewhere Soon to win.

BUNBURY: RACE 6 @ 4:55 PM

The feature of the day now and PLAYIN'IT SWEET (3) looks the one to beat. She's been great without winning this time in work, jumping an odds-on pop last start in an Open 3YO race and finishing 0.3L away. Back to her peak now, she drops in weight under the conditions of the race and she'll be very hard to reel in. WATTO'S MARK (2) just missed fresh at Bunbury before winning very impressively last week when back to 1000m. Pike rides now in a good push for his chances and he maps beautifully from the inside draw. Can improve again up in grade and make his presence felt. TALKANCO (1) is some query after just a fair trial recently, though she boasts a strong fresh record and was only narrowly edged out in the G3 Champion Fillies. Likely top get back from the draw, but can finish off strongly. EXCESS BAGGAGE (7) trialled very nicely coming into this and can feature in the finish. LINCHPIN (4) is some niggle without a trial coming into this but he has shown some class early in his career.

SELECTIONS: Keen on Playin'it Sweet.
