Winning Trainer: Matthew Dunn

"He's done a great. I haven't had him very long and he's backing up with an eight or nine day turnaround after arriving from Melbourne.

"That was always going to be the question mark. He was good first-up. He didn't jump properly and he had a bit of work to do but he got it done.

"Today he was stepping up in grade here and he's been dominant again. It was a great ride, of course. He's been very good to his new connections.

"He felt the travel a bit when he got here and all I had to do was look after him and put a but of weight on him.

"I was talking to Blake before the race and I thought he looked better today than what he did when he won at Ipswich first-up for us.

"He's tough and by the right stallion. Who knows where he ends up but we'll take baby steps with him.

"Looking at the horse, he doesn't look set yet. He's still got a bit of furnishing to do.

"He could improve again and if he can achieve that he might end up a really nice horse."

Winning Jockey: Blake Shinn

"He was quick early and got into a good rhythm. He hit the lead at the right time and won with authority.

"Those colours live on and it is beautiful to get the win."
