Winning Trainer: Craig Cousins

"Nash had it all worked out. I said 'you've got barrier one so you work it out'.

"I said to Nash though that if he rides him too cute he gets caught up and he tends to overrace.

"Anyway, he rode him a treat. He's in for the fight, the horse. I said if they get to him he'll be in it all the way which he was today.

Next start - Stradbroke: "Can't believe it. I'm still pinching myself. It's great.

"Ceejay Graham will ride him in the Stradbroke. Onwards and upwards. I'm just going to enjoy the week. I never thought it would happen and I'm going to enjoy it. I've taken a week of annual leave to enjoy it.

What does he do with the horse in between: "I've just got to keep him ticking over. I wished today was the Stradbroke, to be honest, because he looked a million dollars. I'll freshen him up. I'll probably put him on a water walker for a few days - only a few days just to freshen him up.

"He's a character. He's the dude. I still think he's got a bit more growing and maturity to do. I keep saying he's a charm to have and he makes my job easy."

Winning Jockey: Nash Rawiller

"He gave me a lovely feel. He showed his dominance there and took up the front. Towards the half mile and Emily (Lang) was having trouble getting hers (Swiss Exile) to relax so I let her go.

"I was impressed by his turn-of-foot. It was really nice at the top of the straight. He's not a big horse but with the size of him he's still got a big heart."

How he'd ride him in a Stradbroke: "I'd box seat. Put him in the running at the top of the straight and he'll be in the finish."
