A lower draw gives the in-form Ubetcha Tigerpie his chance to return to the winners’ list in the Vic Frost Free For All at Menangle on Saturday night.

The gelding is one of two winning chances for trainer Michael Stanley who has Soho The Real Deal starting from barrier one and against gun filly Gunna Reload in a strong three-year-old race.

Race-by-race preview of Menangle, Saturday July 12

Race 1: DAHUA COMMUNITY PACE

CRAFTMANS CHARLIE (9) progressed strongly second-up off a let-up to lead and score by 7.6m at this circuit and distance last week. Draws a couple of spots wider but has the gate speed to push forward so can go on with it. HY POACTIVE (10) is in good form with top-three finishes in his last three outings here including a win from the outside barrier over this distance. Missed by just a head last start. Could atone. FRANCO TYSON (6) draws a little deeper but continues to race well with two solid efforts since winning here. In the mix again. DANCE AND DELIVER (4) could be close to another win after placing in two of his last three starts here while BOOM (7) found winning form last start and chased Hy Poactive when runner-up from a deeper draw here prior. Respect.

Race 2: BESTINBEDS.COM.AU PACE

LAMANDIER (2) did a good job to overcome a wide barrier and post 7.4m win at this circuit on Monday. Faces a step up in grade but he will enjoy the draw much closer to the pegs and he steps up to a distance where he is proven. GUILTY PARTY (3) looks close to a win after placing in three of his last four starts here, the latest when coming from a wider barrier to go under by 1.6m over this distance. Could break through. SHEFFIELD SPARKY (1) was a big improver when runner-up in a higher-graded race at big odds last week. He draws to be in the finish again. ALTA MAGACIAN (10) draws wide but deserves respect after making a winning start for Kerryann Morris in a higher-graded race at Penrith. ALTA SIERRA (9) is another starting from wide on the track but he is in good form.

Race 3: PRYDE'S PROTEINPAK PACE

DANGEROUS THREATS (2) has worked his way back into winning form, beating a handy field at Newcastle last week. Owns a decent record at this circuit and distance and is well served by the draw. JILLIBY FABIO (3) added to his consistent form when he chased good mare Lux Aeterna in a similar race here last time. Draws closer to the pegs so could go one better. NOSAER (1) jumps in grade but is in form, completing a hat-trick when taking out a Waratah Final here last start. Has been winning from wider so will enjoy the inside draw. DUKES CHOICE (4) was a beaten favourite when fourth in his first outing for the Alchin yard last week but could progress off that. A lower draw could see improvement from LOCHINVAR JAG (5).

Race 4: THE CORDINA GROUP LADYSHIP PACE

MISSAUDACIOUS (6) was a beaten favourite when midfield in a stronger race last time but looks better placed back to the grade where she was successful two back at this circuit and distance when she came from this same barrier. Can bounce back. MORE GOODA (9) returned to the winners' list two back at Wagga before backing that up in stronger company here last week, getting home by 3m. Draws deeper but winning form is hard to knock. ZENXENA (5) was a winner here earlier in the campaign and could be close to another having placed behind the top two selections in her last two outings. MY CRACKLING ROSIE (8) draws wide again but was only 1.7m behind Missaudacious when runner-up in this class two back. CARRERA SUNSET (10) cops the outside barrier but is good enough to play a role from out there.

Race 5:  CLUB MENANGLE VIC FROST FFA (LISTED CLASSIC)

The winning streak of UBETCHA TIGERPIE (2) came to an end last week but he still performed well when fourth from a wider draw. Had won his previous three at this circuit from deeper barriers than than this, two of them over this distance. Should enjoy the favours so can return to the winners' list. HORN PLAYER (3) has been a model of consistency this time in with a string of wins and placings. Yet to miss the top-three at the circuit and distance and draws to be competitive again. NO HEART THROB (9) is working his way towards another win, finishing fourth behind Ubetcha Tigerpie two back then beating that rival when going under by a neck last time. Draws wider and is yet to win at this distance but has the hoof on the till. MONTALBANO (8) caused an upset when beating many of these rivals last week. Draws deeper but must respect. ARDENS ACE (6) is another capable of a top-four finish.

Race 6:  SUCCESS STUD EQUINE BREEDING PACE

SOHO THE REAL DEAL (1) has produced decent efforts from wider barriers in both starts here since a spell, missing by just a nose fresh before a midfield finish last time. Has a win and two placings from three third-up attempts so should be peaking and gets his chance from the ace draw. PARTY CENTRAL (5) was a touch disappointing as a beaten favourite last time but had won well when resuming at Newcastle prior. Has won three of five at this distance and is race fit so worth another chance. GUNNA RELOAD (7) is a handy filly who only missed by 1.5m last start. Draws deeper but is building a strong record at this circuit and distance with three wins and two placings from six attempts. DANCE WITH CARMER (8) has been consistent this time in and beat several of these rivals when placed from a similar barrier here two back. PETES CRUNCH TIME (6) hasn't been too far from the placegetters of late and is worth including.

Race 7: CANNIBAL STANDING AT COBBITTY EQUINE FARM TROTTERS MOBILE

IM BOBBY (6) brings winning form from Victoria where he cruised home by more than 16m at Melton last start. Placed behind Group 1 winner Arcee Phoenix prior so the form lines are strong. Runner-up the only time he raced here but looks well placed to go one better this time. TORO STRIDE (7) found winning form when he came from the 10m mark to win well here last week. Suited back to the mile as most of his wins have come at the distance. Danger. OH NOVA LOVE (3) continued his long string of wins and placings when third here last time and he draws to play a role again. RAKERO BLAZE (9) didn't have much luck last time so was far from disgraced. Can be in the finish with better fortune.

Race 8: AINSWORTH GAME TECHNOLOGY PACE

Open affair that could suit HAS THE COURAGE (3). He produced a nice effort when third last week and draws one spot closer to the pegs. Up in distance but has winning claims if things go his way. There has been plenty to like about the last two efforts of OUTSIDE FIGHTER (1) in higher-graded races. Gets the ace draw so can play a role again back in this company. DOUBLE FEAR (10) draws wide again but has been racing very well from out there with seconds in his last two appearances. With even luck he could break through. Similar story for VINKE B (9) who cops another wide barrier but has the hoof on the till while MONTEFIORE (6) has been thereabouts of late and is in the mix.

BEST BETS:

Race 3 #2 Dangerous Threats – Back in winning form and should get every chance from the good draw.

Race 5 #2 Ubetcha Tigerpie – Racing very well from wider so will relish the low barrier.
